yet...other car brands still making a killing regardless loan or no loan....

You meant the banks discriminate people who apply loan for Proton cars??? laugh.gif

Don't bank always do that? Local car interest rate always higher than non-local.

Btw, I just got my 1.3 standard yesterday, I'm having high hope on it. Touch wood, it'll be a pleasant ownership experience.

Higher interest rates yes, but if wanna put "bank loan reject" as reason for Iriz low sales...logic 404. Everyone has the same problem, not just Potong.

Reject sounds kinda extreme, reflects maslanness of the CEO lol.

But banks have always been discriminatory when it comes to local cars. What a way to reward patriotism for doing national service.

Anyway, day 2 of driving my new iriz, thanks to advices from lyn iriz owners' club, i decided to drive a bit more "spirited" today. And the result was... Disappointing. When you're used to driving manual, it becomes a benchmark that's impossible to get rid. I just ended up thinking "i could do faster than that", "no no no, not like that, let me do it", " seloooow"

Worse still, at highway speed, i could hear whistling sound from what i believe to be driver's side mirror. Sigh

Yours is manual? Anyway, potong NVH memang sucks. EvenĀ  my Inspila also can hear loud noise on highway when driving high speed...(but Potong can blame Mitsu for that). Haha.

But cukur no whistling noise.

My Iriz is minta penumbuk CVT. As I drive more, I'm finding myself in more situations I can react faster if I drive manual, like enter/exit corner/roundabout. The lag from drive-by-wire and for the gearbox to engage clutch feels like eternity.

I drive Volvo before this, NVH Volvo and Volvo of Asia is like langit and bumi, but the whistling sound definitely feel abnormal.

Have to check the cause. Spoil mood betul. Hopefully I don't get "memang macam ni" from SC later.

i'm surprise how they did the r&d for the car. i mean it's a basic daily drive..how can they "miss" this engine+gearbox combo problem?

Maybe for someone used to driving auto like an unker won't be fussy about it.

As I'm used to driving manual, I can pick up on this more sensitive than those kind of drivers maybe.

To be fair, if I just chill and drive very relaxed, it feels quite smooth.
