Downloaded a lot of rmvb tvb series....convert them to vcd so that can play on dvd player.....quality is so so compare to original rmvb files unless convert to mpeg2.....but again the files is too big.....wasted my dvdr......

Since i have purchased the Pioneer divx player.....just do some experiment....
Convert my RMVB to AVI files using VirtualDub......

Surprise x 2 ....the output files size is around 300MB (VCD format is around 450MB)....tried to play the converted rmvb on my Divx player.....quality is much more better than the VCD and some more the space required is smaller.....can put 13 to 14 episodes into a DVDR.....

Guys, just give a try....

Update....
(Mostly the 43 minutes dvd-rmvb file will be around 232MB if encoded at 512x384 else will be around 168MB if encoded at 448x336...most the tvb dvd-rmvb is 168MB)


1st test. (time to convert to avi ~ 52 mins)
43:50min / 232,893KB / 512x384 01.rmvb = 277,070KB 01.avi

2nd test (time to convert to avi ~ 50 mins)
4x:xxmin / 232,815KB / 512x384 02.rmvb = 272,251KB 02.avi

3rd test (time to convert to avi ~ 35 mins)
4x:xx min / 168,406KB / 448x336 03.rmvb = 173,292KB 03.avi


After i finished the 3rd test..... i totally shock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nowadays DivX player is very cheap....this test (conversion) is mainly for those who have a DivX player and not for normal DVD Player.....
