I want to ask on xvid configuration normally set target quantizer or target bitrate for encoding a better quality video. What value should be input there.

if u wan better quality, use 2 pass encoding mode, single pass quantizer and cbr mode(target bitrate) is not recommended for normal use.
if target quantizer is 2 = highest quality, but file size is unpredicatble.

I'm using 2pass encoding mode on virtualdub and avidemux encode the same file same setting but quality were not so good on virtualdub. I wonder izzit the target quantizer or target bitrate causing the quality drop or the packed bitstream.

I've read from doom9 about the xvid preset but have someone try the preset? In which setting will get the best quality ripping DVD to avi.
