PPl........ HELP HELP HELP

I am desperately seeking a good converting program 2 make a dvd 2 play on my dvd player.
The convertors recomended r all very the slow.

Hooww?????

The problem is some of these convertors won't recognise my avi formats... ; (

How long does it take u guys 2 make one dvd playable on the dvd player?

I tried encoding n transcoding ie did some dvd authoring lately.

Among the few programs i tried were TmpGenc or something like that. Problem here is ..
ALot of the avi formats... when i try 2 load... they'll say: Unable to load... not recognisable .. bla bla bla.

U guys experience the same thing? Wat software u all use?
