This is the pic from a site, I emailed this question to Noctua support as well.

edit - yes, am looking for the NH-12F. Not sure how to go about measuring the space though.

like kataro said blow to psu should be no prob..but blow to exchaust fan should be tricky..very less space between the proc n agp slot..but looking at it might fit jus the back of vga card have nth higher than the slot should hav no prob laa..jus my rough estimation only  tongue.gif

wait for noctua support reply u see how..i email them n get prompt reply  thumbup.gif

Thank you very much for contacting us.
Sorry for the 1 day delay, we got a lot of questions.

With our new F series (NH-U12F and NH-U9F) there will be no problem with
your mainboard, because they are 90° rotateable.
We also increase the gap between the cooler base and the first fin, so
there will be no interrupt with the chip-cooler.

So the cooler will fit on your Mainboard without any problems.

[size=7]UPDATE 23 February 2007

There should be not much problem about installing the heatsink if you install your heatsink this way >>  |  . But if u installing it this way >> ____, i just worry it will hit your GC.

ANyway, it is better for you to measure first.
Should be no problem at all.

I hope not, hitting the gc would be disastrous! But since the Noctua support said it's universally okay, I think I'll bet on getting it first and try it out. About gcs, I think the space they occupy in relation to the cpu area is standard right? Anyway, my gc will be the x1950 pro.

Uh, I just read a review on neoseeker, about installation is it a must to completely dismantle the mobo to affix the Noctua? As the computer casing can be opened from both sides, why must the whole mobo be removed from the case? A bit blur on this..

"One important thing to note is that with these stand-off brackets in place, the processor can't installed or removed. The CPU must be installed before you install the Noctua -- and to take that further, you will have to take your motherboard out of its case in order to do a CPU swap if you have the stand-offs in place."

you need to take out the mobo to install the back plate. without removing the whole mobo, it is quite impossible install it.

Shouldn't the fan be on the right side blowing towards the back side?

Iringan, looks like Bulk 3 isn't going so well, the orders actually went down from last week, any idea how long it will be until MOQ is reached?

I saw a neoseeker review, 2 fans or 1 fan not much diff in temp.

Speaking of temperature, is there any difference in cpu/gaming performance if I don't overclock?

The effect of 2 fans on temperature is negligible, I think the estra fan would serve a more useful purpose elsewhere on the pc rather than attached to the heatsink unit.

You can also find any fan that is at the same speed with the noctua fan, just dont go for something that is on lower than 1300RPM smile.gif

Find something faster than 1300RPM

Damn! My lowyah cooler master fan is 1220 rpm..

I think, can I just dump the rear fan and use the noctua fan to push air into heatsink and then possibly the force of the air will go past it and out the rear?

Is that recommended?

Iringan, can you pm me the price to send to kuching? Thanks, I'll probably pay yomolo.

Pricing will be released SOON. smile.gif
Why not put your Lowyah fan at the heatsink and Noctua fan as the rear fan? Rear fan is very important. Must have!
Haha... Pricing for the fan will be release next week. smile.gif
*
Basically what you're saying is the pulling effect from the rear fan gets higher priority than the push effect from the Heatsink mounted fan right?

I can mount it like that since dun feel like buying a new fan at the moment, but is it stable..? Any drawbacks?

The cooler master fan -
120mm
12 VDC
1220 rpm
42.7 CFM
22 dB noise

LOLZ.... Both of us shared the same thinking smile.gif
Yes... Rear fan is more important compare to the fan at heatsink.

From I see from the spec, I think your fan is good enough. Dont have to change also.
Sure, bro.. smile.gif
*
By don't have to change, do you mean leave the CM fan in the rear and Noctua fan on the heatsink?
