QUOTE(KLKN_Views @ Apr 11 2022, 10:47 AM) should i buy C1 65 now or wait little longer for the price to drop since C2 will be here anytime soon? im scared it'll be out of stock... any advice? I am in the same situation as you but for different reasons..... I am so close to pulling the trigger on a 65 G1 or A90J due to the really attractive price reductions recently, but I am more concerned about QD OLED. Scared I get buyer's remorse since I only upgrade my TV every 5-6 years. Currently waiting for reviews for QD OLED sets before deciding. Think reviews should pop up soon for the Samsung S95B and we should be able to have a rough idea of how good the Sony A95K will be as well. Depending on how great QD OLED is, might stick to my trusty 2016 65 Samsung KS9000 for another year and get a QD OLED set this time next year at reduced prices instead.

QUOTE(Convael @ Apr 13 2022, 02:38 PM) Question , how do you know we are getting QD-OLED TV anytime soon ? [ we are not ] Really ? Bummer!!! QUOTE a 300- 500 nits EDGE-LIT TV pretending to be competent in the likes of Legendary X93/x94E and Z9DÂ Well, mistakes might have been made hence not looking to repeat them. Regardless, it was competent enough for me and has served me well till today. This post has been edited by sigheart: Apr 13 2022, 04:37 PM

QUOTE(fufu_80 @ Nov 16 2023, 08:08 AM) Awaiting for my LG A3 65" to be in tommorow to replace my current 55" X90H in living room. Officially shall start my OLED journey with the budget model 1st. Congrats! I decided to pull the trigger and take the plunge into OLED as well during the recent 11.11 sales. Replacing my 7 year old 65" Samsung KS9000 with a 65" LG G3.

Anyone know if there are any possible causes for the automatic short compensation cycles not running? From what I understand it is supposed to run when put in standby mode after each consecutive 4 hours of screen time.
My LG G3 had an issue with bezel bleed/burn in after around 1 year and 10 months.
Technician came and checked and after entering the service menu, my TV's usage totaled 875 hours but the supposedly automatic short compensation cycle only ran 1 time which was the most likely cause of the issue.
They decided to replace the screen of the TV under warranty, however I feel like this doesn't solve the issue completely and might happen again unless I find out what exactly causes the automatic short pixel refresh to not run. Technician himself has no clue on what might be causing this.
Did some search online and some people say it is having the Quick Switch+ feature on (when I checked this was enabled, so most likely this was enabled by default since the day I bought the TV) or not using the supplied LG TV remote to put the TV into standby which might be interfering with the automatic short pixel refresh feature.
But if anyone knows of any more potential root causes, I am all ears!
Have to commend the speed in which they work on warranty issues though: Reported issue on a Saturday (8/11/2025) Technician came to check on Monday (10/11/2025) Technician replaces screen onsite on Tuesday (11/11/2025)

QUOTE(kawayura @ Nov 12 2025, 11:24 PM) Bro, whats your opinion on G5? planning to get one I won't comment at all in terms of picture quality etc as every person's preference is subjective plus I think there are already plenty of reviews out there which you can use to make an informed decision. You can also always drop by one of the large retailers out there to give it a good ol fashioned eye test. I have 4 OLEDs at home atm...2 x C1, a C2 and a G3. My G3 recently had a problem which I have posted above. a few years ago I did a claim on one of my C1 due to panel failure (vertical lines), this was my gaming console TV. I am not sure if this projects poor reliability to you but to be honest I think I have just been unlucky. However, each time my experience dealing with LG customer support and warranty claims has been nothing short of fantastic.
