That's a deal breaker, 1440p is essential for PC gaming compromise between quality and fps. Even my first generation LG OLED 65EC9700 supports 1440p.

They have not confirm anything but it may still have a chance to happen , especially when they are shifting focus onto the larger size and higher resolution OLEDs ( 77' , 82')

There were rumors that their 8K OLED (which will be released later this year) is using top emission with a new Indium gallium zinc oxide (IZGO) backplane .

Again , LG has never confirm anything so all of these could have changed. Just like how they've found a critical issue with the 120mhz BFI and pull them last minute.

I too have doubts that the C9 supports the full HDMI 2.1 specification. But in any case, there will be nothing to take advantage of 4k120hz anyways for a very long time. Next-gen GPUs would still struggle to push 4k60 comfortably, 120 is a stretch so... yeah, I don't see the point even as a gamer.

Next gen consoles touting 120hz, neither of them has said at what resolution and if they're promising 4k120 then that's basically horse shit as they've promised for the past 2 generation. 1080p res of PS3/360, some games hit that but most were sub 720p. PS4 said 1080p60, but most of them were a joke.

Don't think supporting the full specs of HDMI 2.1 is important. The game changer is VRR, which is already running well on the C9. So for the mean time and for the next 2 years at least, it's more than good enough.

Maybe finally they can launch the BFI that refreshes at 120hz instead of the useless 60hz. Still kinda butthurt they pull the plug on that last minute before the C9 launched.

You know in dobly vision or hdr, any scene with sunlight feel damn real sunlight to me. I have to close my eyes a little. In LCD panels, nothing feel that way.

got my c9 as well, but seems like hdmi arc connecting with sound bar got problem, sometimes got sound sometimes no, happen randomly. anyone know the reason?
