If anyone know where can I source a C9 65" for cheap, please let me know. CX is currently over my budget.

I am aware that this is an LG OLED Thread but these information of Sony A90J will serve as a reference of how the upcoming G1 will perform .

A quick reminder , Sony doesn't drive their OLED as hard (bright) as other brands .
We have some information on A90J thanks to AV/s and DeWayne Davis  .
- Confirmed to be TV-LED via Dolby Vision.

- New setting in HDR mode , with brightness or gradient preferred options .

- OOTB custom brightness on A90J is around 800 nits on 2 , 5 , 10%  , 175 nits for 100% .

- 2 x HDMI 2.1 , like last year Dolby Vision 120 hz is still not supported , not too big of a deal atm .

- Both HDMI 2.1 ports will have a peak transfer bitrate of up to 48 gbps .
Several electronic shops I know from the AV field in China have also gotten the TV but they don't calibrate it . Mostly some side by side comparison screen shot .
I would suggest not to take them seriously as still shots can't really do a TV PQ Justice .

Do you happens to have an insider news on when C1/A90J is going to launch here in Malaysia? I am patiently waiting for the C1 release in order to grab CX at discount, but I am not ruling the C1/A90J out if the price difference are not much.

Screen size C1 G1
48" $1400 -
55" $1600 $2000
65" $2300 $2800
77" $3500 $4300
83" $6000 -

Based on Vincent's leaked price in the US, the 77" launch price is very attractive, and the evo model price is not that unattainable either. I might as well go for the newer model if that is the case. Of course, assuming the Malaysian price is relatively similar.

Hopefully this will also push for heavy discount on the older CX stocks.

Desahome is selling 65 " C9 for 8999 , E9 for 9999 .
6999 for 55 " CX , 1500 voucher rebate + 300 touch and go .
I still can't , in my conscience recommend the BX to anyone especially if you don't calibrate your screen . The basic toolkit you will need probably end up costing you a lot more than buying a CX .
If you are eyeing for the OLED you must care , even just a wee bit about Picture Quality and the BX is counterproductive to that intent.
But LG want to sell their C series , they will continue to land nerf hammers on the B series .

If you really can't spare that $1000 difference , just buy the C9 from 2019 instead . They seem to be in similar price range with BX right now .

Wasn't able to find the C9 deal from Desahome. Is it physical store only?

Right now I have both Ethernet wired and wifi connection to the LG. Doesn't seem to see any difference with both connected or am I missing something?

The LG TV only has 100mbps Ethernet port, which is very slow by today's standard. You are likely better off with just the WiFi connection.

Manage to secure a 65" CX for about 7.9k during the 11.11 sales yesterday from Lazada. Pretty good deal.

My LG CX 65 decided to die on me this morning. It won’t power on, and there’s no red standby light either. I tested the power cable with a voltage tester and confirmed that electricity is flowing, so the issue seems to be internal. I’m hoping it’s just the PSU, or at worst, the motherboard.

Has anyone dealt with out-of-warranty repairs with LG? Any idea what the typical cost is for replacing the PSU or motherboard? Appreciate any insights, thanks!

How long is your TV aging since used till current status ?
Wanna take note cause I'm also LG CX 65 user right now and like 4 years usage from May 2021
So your PSU dead during warranty period ? I assume that's like first 3 years ?

Missed this message. My TV was about 4 years old when the issue occurred. I had the Power Supply Unit replaced, which cost around RM605, including RM250 for labour.

If it happens again, I might consider replacing it myself. I watched the technician do it, and the process seemed fairly straightforward. The hardest part was actually just moving the TV onto a flat surface.
