I just got my 65E6 from Harvey Norman Ikano a few days ago 😊

Their current sticker price is RM17999, but they are definitely open for haggling. I was only able to bring it down to RM16400 though, but I suck at this anyway 😝

Good luck 👍

No one knows yet this. But at rm7k plus now, if it can serves more than 5 years with superb pq, its already so damm worth. Im expecting this B6 to last 7 years at least. Hope lg doesnt dissapoint me.

But if you are looking for proven more than 10 years quality type, then lcd led is the choice

Lol.. bro chill man. Previously LG to me all the while also lousy brand. Including aircon, pc monitor, even lcd led tv. 2 to 3 years thats it spoild. Too bad now they owned the best display that consumer can buy for tv. Unless samsung release thier AM OLED display to consumer tv. Then I might get samsung tongue.gif

65 inch for oled is superb definately. Its out from my reach as well at this moment. sad.gif
Rm17k brooo. Crazy i will put my money somewhere else better. Maybe 3 years later where 65 inches become mainstream for oled like 55 inches today

Just had a lengthy hands on with the C7, definitely a noticeable improvement over the 6 series last year.

The 2 main improvements that I really like are:

1) The purple tint that is prevalent with reflections is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced over the last year's models. I never liked the purple tint, it was always distracting to me so I could never use my E6 even in a moderately bright room. The C7, even while pointing a spotlight at it does very well in comparison. There's still a purple hue on the screen, but it's a lot less annoying to my eyes.

2) The above black levels are quite a bit more balanced now. A lot less black crush in  HDR content. For SDR content, black and just above black levels are less drab than last year's models.
One other noticeable improvement (although not as significant) is that temporary IR can be cleared up within 10 minutes. My E6 needs at least 40+ mins to entirely clear up the screen. There are a few more other minor improvements, which at a whole isn't much to talk about (better input lag, but it's really only 5ms better... so, whateves).

Seriously considering to sell the E6 and get the 65" C7 instead. I get some extra pocket money but a better TV overall.
*
Agreed with bro Ben, the purple tint is very disturbing. I felt very difficult to watch with home downlight turn on and get reflected on the screen. To enjoy this I have to turn off my home 4 direct downlights and to turn on 3 bulbs at the side walkway instead turning on all 7 bulbs together.

The only thing I hate on this panel is the "oled light" when turn above 50 on white images it's over bright and it's causing strain on my eyes and it's not comfortable to watch. I had to turn it down to or below 38 to suit my eyes. Maybe I have eye glare issue.

I bought a LG OLED 55C6T on the 25th last month and it was delivered to me on the 27th. Today is the 8th which means that I had the TV for 11 days and guess what. There is a very visible vertical line on the screen already with another shorter but less visible vertical two inches away. ELEVEN DAYS!!!  vmad.gif  Anybody out there having this problem or is my unit an anomaly? Logged into the LG Malaysia website and there is a webpage where I can email in and guess what. After filling in all the required information blah blah blah, I hit the SUBMIT button and the damned thing won't work (broken link or not linked at all).  bangwall.gif

You better to call Malaysia LG hotline support to get it replaced quickly. Well so far you are the only one I have heard off or read on internet having this issue.

Guys, planning to update the firmware manually via USB tonight on the B6T.

SW File(Version 04.31.10)
http://www.lg.com/my/support/support-product/lg-OLED55B6T#

There is no push update where you can just update over the air.

It helps in the latency for gaming and add on additional hdr game mode I guess.

Has anyone tinkered with the various IPTV apps in the LG Content Store? I don't even know where to start cos there's so many of them sad.gif

And what little I checked generally give very poor quality pixelated video

Youtube 4k movies trailers is the one you can play. example transformers and others smile.gif.

Other than that you can use netflix 4k accounts to watch.

Tried playing the 4k content from youtube, but it isn't playing at 4k, only 1080p 30fs (using stats for nerds)
is there anything i need to do to get 4k from youtube?
*
Im using 30mbps unifi. Wheb you run youtube 4k video, you can go to the setting button on the youtube interface and click display info. There you can verify whether its running 4k.

Hi Guys, as we know now netflix 4k streaming service has some titles with Dolby vision and atmos. Im having a full set 5.1.2 dobly atmos sound system setup with denon avr. Im using LG Oled B6 as tv. The issue I have is trying to play netflix both that supports DVision and DAtmos.

1. If Im using the LG webOS netflix app. Yes i have DVision but the TV doesnt passthrough DAtmos to my Denon x1300w AVR. Tested using optical sound link.

2. If I buy the latest Apple TV 4k and use its netflix. Im sure my AVR will able to play DAtmos, but anyone can advise if my LG B6 will able to receive DVision from the Apple TV 4K via my AVR?

Wondering if its my LG B6 limitation not able to support DAtmos when using LG webOS, and not able to receive DVision signal when the source is from the latest APTV4K.

Dolby Atmos must use hdmi connection ARC to B6
Toslink cant do it

I read somewhere LG B6 webOS netflix doesnt support atmos, therefore when select netflix title that actually has atmos will not even display atmos logo on the title selection screen.

Ok now I need to confirm if the APTV4k or XBox One netflix able to see atmos and DVision on specific title, will my LG B6 able to take the DVision signal via my Denon AVR (Dvision compatible after firmware updated)?

Anyone has tried?

LG B6 (and C6) only supports DV at 30hz, not 60hz. Therefore if you buy an APTV4k - you cannot use 60hz as the output, you must force it to 30hz or 24hz (the UI will be slow as fuck). Same thing for the Xbox One.

If you can bear with the slow and laggy UI of 24/30hz - then perhaps get an APTV4k.
You need to use HDMI ARC (CEC) in order to passthrough DD+ (with Atmos meta) to the receiver for audio decoding and then the video to the TV to enable DV. The problem with this is that HDMI ARC doesn't always works, you may or may not need several power cycles to get the proper handshake between devices. When it works, it's cool and when it doesn't - it is such a pain in the ass.
*
Ok just bought APTV4k, tonight later I try use hdmi from APTV4k to my AVR, then from hdmi out with ARC/CEC to LG B6 Tv hdmi in with ARC/CEC. Need to identify which hdmi in is that first. Will update.

Ok done as per above guidance from SSJben bro, hdmi cable swap to hdmi 2 where i has ARC/CEC and turn on deepcolor settings on the TV and viola, tested and all worked well. Netflix, itunes movies on APTV4k works perfectly with the denon avr and LG oled B6. On the APTV4k Dolby vision force at 30hz able to send to AVR and to LG oled B6. Dolby atmos able to work as it showed at the AVR display.
Indeed happy with APTV4k's result as it works fine on LG Oled B6 eventhough its on 30hz display. Will plan for next year ned oled model where I heard will be significantly better than todays existing models.

Cheers SSJben for the informative advice.

What is the best price for current for BX (RM8099 as per earlier post) and CX ??

And if wait, what is the target price when they are selling the C1 or G1 evo panel?

Any idea?

There are 2 approaches. One is to get the very best color by calibration and I think may be for some people, miss the forest for the trees. Or get a better TV and forget about calibration. I opted for the latter and got the CX and just sit back and enjoy.
*
Just got a 65 CX myself too with good bargain.

Using Calman home for LG software (license) + with Datacolor SpyderX

https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=youtub...26FORM%3DVDVVXX

Calibrated 3 modes
1. ISF Dark mode for SDR
2. HDR Cinema mode for HDR
3. Dolby Vision Cinema Mode for Dolby Vision.

TV color accuracy looks fantastic now.

Want to ask here, can we get atmos through Bluetooth with cx ?
*
For TV sound output with atmos, only way is ARC for compressed Atmos audio or eARC for uncompressed Atmos audio. If my understanding is correct.
