Hi. Im using this as a pc monitor. So long ure using HDMI 2.1 yes youll be able to use 444 or even RGB

Experience wise, it depends on your usage. Playing games/watching movies is pure bliss.

HOWEVER, if youre mainly editing excel/word spreadsheets then i sincerely feel OLED is a bit too big as compared to a conventional PC monitor

If you can wait, LG might be launching a 42 inch OLED next year. NOW thats perfect for a monitor
How's it for PC? Is the icons and stuff look "pixelated" if used as a monitor? I'd reckon scaling of at least 200% (on Windows)?

After being pampered by higher pixel density, I'm sitting on the fence on this but seriously giving it a consideration as a display for work/gaming/entertainment.

If you want high PPI, wait for the 42" model. That's the perfect size for 4k resolution sitting at the typical 3ft distance to display on a desk.
Hope it'll be as good as the C1 48".

To my naked eyes no. But I'm 95cm from the screen so it might help

150% is the recommended scaling. To me is good enough
Thanks for sharing the info. Let me see how's 95cm from my current sitting distance. laugh.gif

Hi guys, anyone using Toslink with their LG C1?

I was thinking of instead of PS4 > Toslink > Subbie, I'll use this instead TV > Toslink > Subbie

Or just leave it as it is?

Another question, PC > HDMI 2.1 > eARC port(?) or any HDMI port will do on the C1(?) > Toslink (from C1) > Subbie

Hmmm?

I don't use TOSLINK, but going from TV > TOSLINK > speaker system = lipsync issue. You'll have to compensate the audio mismatch by delaying it in the TV's audio settings.
My opinion is leave it as it is.

As for the other question, you can connect to any HDMI ports on the C1 because TOSLINK only supports compressed audio (or up to lossless PCM2.0) to begin with anyways.
Ahhh, that explains the lipsync issue. The sound from the subbie wasn't the same from the telly and I ended up putting the telly volume into 10 and just use my sub as the main sound source. laugh.gif Looks like I'll just leave it as it is then.

For the PC, HDMI will be on any port and I'll just settled with using Bluetooth. Well, that's pretty much the same 'ol settings for me as for now. laugh.gif

Thanks for the input. Much appreciated. Cheers!

BTW, have any C1 owner notice that power on / off the TV will have the mechanical / click sound from the tv like older tv sound? my 5 years old samsung dun have this click sound.
Yes, there's a faint mechanical sound when I switch off the telly.

I always have it in standby mode because powering it off means cutting off the background "cleaning" (pixel refresher function in the background during standby mode - after 4 hours of use cumulatively) of the telly? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Higher PPI and brighter by 30%? What else is on the platter for the C2?

I just run my things on the telly and if I'm away from it for like 5 minutes or more, I'll just press "#1" for the dynamic wallpaper as I customised it as a quick shortcut key on my remote control (LG's quick access feature).

So far so good. Once you go OLED...

Just updated mine last night, can feel the WebOS feels a bit faster and responsive than before (But not as smooth as CX)
Got these from the Internet. So take it with a pinch of salt ya. laugh.gif

1. Speech recognition performance is improved.
2. When playing Dolby Vision games, it automatically switches to the game optimizer quality mode.
3. The usability of the accessibility menu for the disabled has been improved.
4. No loading times anymore when pressing the Home Button.
5. WebOS was smoother when navigating the settings menus as well.
6. There is one more option "minimum brightness" under the energy-saving setting menu.

03.30.06 was the previous version. Today my C1 finally received an update for 03.33.11.

Really felt snappier as a whole. Apps load and quit faster. But still no option exit from apps to Home.
03.33.11? I'll see if there's any more update or not. I just updated it with 03.30.06 yesterday. laugh.gif

I thought OLED panels are pretty much durable and flexible. I think the possible damage to be done on the screen is throwing your PlayStation controller right at it.

As for those that are on the fence about burn-in, OLED technology has advanced throughout the years and with proper (even minimal care) can last for 100,000 hours. Be it for the use of normal telly or as a PC monitor. Mine averages from 30-40 hours of use per week.

In addition to that, rarely that I clean my OLED telly and I've done so once after months of use with isopropyl alcohol 99% on a piece of microfibre cloth. Correct me if I'm wrong, if I were to clean it more often than so, it's best to use distilled water?

Anyway, OLED screen is not that fragile. Cheers!

Anyone facing?
It could be your telly is on "standby mode"? Mine has that feature enabled and it'll have the red light on constant as I always leave the power plug on. It'll turn on when I press the "ON" button on the remote.

You said you did an electrically reset for your telly, right? Same problem persist thereafter?

Addendum: Just got home and I noticed, on standby mode, the constant red light will blink twice before fully switching on.

Hi all BRO,

Wanna ask will you fully power off your LG OLED tv everyday or just let it on standby mode 24/7?

And I will switch off the tv then fully power off after one hour because sometime it will auto do the pixel refresher.

Is this way that I do correct?
From day of purchase, I'll just switch off the telly (by remote) and leave it on standby mode 24/7.

Should I accept? 😭😭
Looks pretty bad for the white line. Is there any other alternative besides the cash voucher?
