My home broadband connection got upgraded to 100mbps

Able to stream YouTube 4K via my PC, using a 5GHz 802.11n connection.

However, the YouTube app in my E6 is still restricted only to 1080p despite using a gigabit ethernet connection. sad.gif

2017 OLED model owners all can stream YouTube 4K right?

Duly noted bro, thanks. I’m a selective cheapskate but will make more exceptions then.

Monoprice cables are the best bang for your buck, well worth the extra few dollars against AmazonBasics cables

Quick Question...

Does anyone make any changes to Dolby Vision settings, or it's left at default?

I have an E6, and only started watching Dolby Vision content via Netflix. Thanks! smile.gif

Are there any CX or C1 owners here who are also retro gamers?

Need confirmation if these panels can accept native 1440p signal, since 1440p is an integer perfect scale from 240p and 480p source.

I am upscaling my Megadrive, Saturn, PS2, and Wii using a RetroTink 5X, which allows up to 1440p output, but my LG OLED E6 can only accept up to 1200p.

Weird.. i have burn in on my E6 at that exact spot too

And that is definitely not from 2.39:1 aspect ratio black bars... I wonder if it's a problem with that part of the panel rather than really burn in?

I play a lot of 4:3 games on my E6 and never had burn in bars on left and right...

So the insurance (dunno is LG or Senheng decision) decided to opt for Panel replacement cause the margin is less than 70% as per Senheng SA explanation

My extended warranty value up to 13,999 and apparently the value doesnt depreciate over the period  shocking.gif :

The cost on the system shows:

1) Panel cost @ RM6,700
2) Labour charge @ RM200
3) Service Transport @ RM45

So it is just 50% over the repair coverage

Oh well, wait for the panel replace and gonna check through the new panel see any defective before conclude.

Yikes!

My 7 year old E6 just died last Friday, stuck on standby mode.

LG technician coming today to diagnose.

RM110 just for the technician to come... dunno what the repair charges would be...

What did the technician do btw for that RM110 ?
*
That is the basic charge for the technician to come to my house to diagnose the problem, then he will quote me repair charges based on the root cause.

The technician will come between 2pm-3pm today... hopefully is just board issue and not panel issue.

BOTH panel + board for my E6 dead... total repair costs > RM9K, which I declined

Looks like it's upgrade time!

Not worth it already...just upgrade  tongue.gif Can even get a C3 with that price. Or top up a bit with a C4
*
Yep... planning to get a 77" C3

Just a bit sad cos the E6 was the ultimate 3D TV, and I really loved the Blu-ray 3D format

Nice! How much did it run you? I almost picked it up.will be getting mine later this month when I move to the new place.

RM15800 with free delivery.

Why didn't just go for G3? Pretty sure the price difference between the both isn't very significant.
*
G3 was an extra RM6K++, which was beyond my budget.
I was originally hoping to budget for a G4 next year, but after my E6 died my timetable had to be moved up, which also limited my budget.

Really such a significant difference now? Last I checked prior to getting my own G3 77", the C3 77" was only RM2.5k less at HVN.
*
I couldn't justify paying 21K for the 77" G3. It was planned for 2025 (probably the G4 by then)... but cos my E6 suddenly died, my budget also didn't have the time to grow.

It was either a 65" G3 at RM12K or the 77" C3, so I opted for the latter.
