QUOTE(tishaban @ Dec 10 2018, 09:36 AM) Lazada's 12.12 sales started, prices now as low as ~RM6,799 ie. RM6,999 minus RM200 coupon from some of the stores I checked. ya, for 55in some good deals going on...but 65in somewhat remains the same around 11kSo tempted but I don't watch TV all that much to justify buying one |

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Sep 2 2019, 05:03 PM) Those sitting on the bench whether to sink in for an OLED TV, better just hold on a little longer. LG's new OLED plant in Guangzhou just started production. Prices would definitely drop most likely starting next year 2020's model : Thanks for the news! https://www.anandtech.com/show/14809/lg-dis...trates-per-year But high end panel prices would remain quite high as this new plant is not manufacturing the latest generation panels. High end/latest generation panels are still made in korea. ANd yup...still hanging on to my Plasma...lol probably in 2 years time, korean models maybe forced to bring down the price due to competition from China models. |

QUOTE(Dickong @ Mar 2 2020, 04:19 PM) The default setting for oled light n contrast for HDR n Dolby Vision is 100, do u guys lower down the oled light n contrast It all depends on your surrounding lightings, so no one setting fits all, and again each viewer has their own preference as well, so set it to what your eyes prefers |

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ Jul 19 2020, 02:17 PM) If you got plenty 4K HDR title or want to start taste and enjoy 4K HDR, then go ahead now. Thanks alot man, I guess gonna drag on with my Plasma a little longer For the moment I already have 540 4K HDR titles and frank speak 4K HDR is another level of viewing pleasure. Don't judge 4K HDR title from Netflix, Netflix 4K HDR title most didn't give wow effect. Judge from 4K HDR title release by Studio in Physical Format 4K UHD Blu-ray or at least stream format from Apple iTunes. Else I think you can wait until your Plasma kaput. Every year similar time LG will do promotion of OLED TV when new model is released. |

QUOTE(PoorMan @ Apr 15 2021, 09:39 PM) Hi guys, I'm about to plunge into the world of OLED. Currently still rocking a 10 year old 42" Panasonic Plasma V20. Cant really go wrong with both, both has its merit. I guess majority gaming folks would prefer CX.Looking at the 55" Panasonic HZ1000 or LG CX for my next living room TV and moving my plasma to upstairs living room. Have tendency to choose Panasonic as it has proven to be a reliable brand in my experience but not sure if this still valid for OLED TV. I will be using for Astro Ultra, blu-ray, Nintendo Switch and PS4/5. So far no 4K until now. So which one would you recommend? HZ1000 or CX? ya, i wanted to giveaway my V20, but just didnt have the heart, hence moved it to dining! hahahaha This post has been edited by VeeJay: Apr 15 2021, 11:04 PM PoorMan liked this post

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Oct 29 2021, 03:15 PM) 97-inch OLED from LG next year it seems - http://koreabizwire.com/samsung-lg-vie-for...v-market/202019 That would be nice! Hopefully a reality, itching to upgrade from my 77. But normally new introductory models, price is the killer! If price is right, I dont mind trading in my 85X9000H as well. |

QUOTE(wusplay @ Nov 20 2021, 01:51 AM) Yup, started to used my 50in plasma as computer monitor since early this year, so far so good. Again burn-in depends how long the static images you have stagnant. As long as there is movement, i dont see it a problem. |
