Also, is the confirmation chip a must? or I can just get the ones without the chip?

QUOTE(zennasyndroxx @ Jan 19 2016, 04:27 PM) planning to get this for an old lens. anyone used this before? You buying the adapter with glass or non glass type? Also, is the confirmation chip a must? or I can just get the ones without the chip? want to use this with Canon FL 50MM f1.4 From my reading the confirmation chip is to communicate with camera so that you have AF confirmation in viewfinder. So if you think your eyesight is good to judge a focus photo then you dont need it. |

That way I can compare glass or no glass better for close shots. the glass is for infinity focus iinm |

You might want to read up the adapter review before buying them because some of the glass on the adapter will degrade the image quality.might get the fotodiox ones since they released a manual to remove the glass.
