I am using wireless. Dont think anyone has complained that I lag the game.

The wireless adapter should be around RM250 or more if I am not mistaken.

Yep the official Microsoft wireless adapter. No lag except with foreigners but I think thats ISP problem, not adapter problem.

Download speed? Normal I guess because I went straight to Wifi..never tried the normal LAN cable tongue.gif

Little or no lag using wireless but its expensive.

Wireless router
wireless adapter will probably set you back a pretty dollar shocking.gif

but one thing though it looks super cool without wires and all!! rclxms.gif

Also its easier to set up tongue.gif

I used to play WoW on using wireless before. Huge difference.

on LAN, ping was 300-600.

on WiFi, ping was like 3k-6k -.-"

Since then I dont believe in gaming with wireless connection.

But maybe coz they access point is abit far thus the signal was weak, i dont know. unsure.gif

Were you far from the wireless access point when gaming, I use the MS adapter for my 360 and so far its been great to me although sometimes i need to unplug and replug again occasionally when i disconnect from the wall. But other than that its great, the speed difference is not noticeable but the wire that i used to trip on the floor that is gone definately is noticeable.

Yeah the access point is quite far.. and blocked by 2 walls doh.gif

I think if the signal is strong, then should have no problem la.

Since a few members has tried the wireless adapter, and didn't face any problem. I think should be quite a safe buy then.

But also do take account the distance of the accesss point and your xbox. Further it is, weaker the signal become.

I play WoW on WiFi, 300-600ms pings normally. LAN, also 300-600ms. Equal, right?

Well not really ... I find that WiFi connections, even with the same ping as LAN, tend to be more erratic. e.g. when I play dota over hamachi with my brother in UK, I have to use LAN because with WiFi the connection is "jerkier" (for lack of a better term to describe).

I guess it really depends on where your wireless router is placed and which brand you are using. Some wireless router jst plain sucks.

Notebook wireless cards usually have their operation mode switched to "Power Save" instead of "Maximum Burn" you'd be amazed at the difference. Also, the 360's wireless adapter is able to operate on a(?)/b/g, if you have an A or G router you should be able to get pretty much similar performance from a wired connection.

although i dont own a xbox...

but here to clarify things...

from the wireless adaptor to the router it only take 1ms or less....

thus it makes no difference when comparing with cable (unless you tell me you can see 1ms difference)

secondly your stremyx speed is 1mbit... or max 2mbit (for those who is lucky).

even with wireless 802.11b, the connection is 11mbit....

in conclusion, YOU SHOULD NOT SEE ANY DIFFERENCE between wired or wireless controller/router
