did it redirect you to the mastecard secure pay or verified by Visa page for you to enter OTP?
If yes, it is the card's bank that failed to send OTP, not Payonline.

It does involved the merchant.

All Malaysian cards are basically pre-enrolled into 3-D authentication (Verified by Visa/Mastercard Securecode). However, such 3D authentication would only works if,

1. The merchant account is setup for 3D authentication AND
2. The credit card is enrolled for 3D authentication

for sites like Agoda, if the merchant account did not set up for 3D authentication, there will not be one even if the card is enrolled.
In such a case, the merchant will bear the risk and responsibilities of facing fraudulent disputes, etc.

no, it's the merchant, who allows you to perform online transaction without OTP, Amex is just the 'gateway' or middleman between the merchant and the financial institutions.

in case you died suddenly, the insurance will pay for your outstanding balance.

But Tesco online only charge you when you received the delivery. Sometimes the goods are available, they will deduct the amount from it.
It's a handheld card payment, not online with TAC.

Well, maybe not.

Cause when I received the goods, some of them like 'kemek' a bit.
So for buying fragile items and fresh food, i wouldn't go online. You never know what they will stuff for you.

I had the same encounter. Applied VOX and was told to collect from branch.
I told them to cancel my application.

Well, according to the card officer spoken to me just now, all new cards must be collected at branch after thumb print verification. This is a new policy implemented this year.

hi Andy,

I was told by the CS when I applied online that effective this year onwards, UOB only deliver the cards to respective branch for collection via thumb print.

I am interested in VOX, but having to collect from UOB branch, which is not available easily had me cancelled the application. Please help feedback to your customer management manager.

rule of thumb is, if you used the card after AF has been charged, it basically means that you have agreed to use the service. therefore, you will have to pay.

Unless you decided to terminate the card, then you can ask if it can be pro-rated (not sure if it's even doable)
