Then there's shouldn't be problem.. As wut i noe.. LinuxMint is packaged with all the proprietary driver + software..
i finnaly got my laptop ACER Aspire 5500 Series Notebook to work with LinuxMint where the main constraint was the ATi graphic card.
beside the point.. i strongly recommendLinuxMint.. there won't be any problem in updating the software as it's using ubuntu software repos..
Anyway, please correct me if i m wrong. Tq.
