Yea. Our youth team always do well in leagues and cups. Even won a few youth FA cup if i'm not mistaken. But then we always sign big players. I kinda understand it, we don't want to sacrifice too much and just thrust our youth into first team. We might end up winning nothing for maybe 1 or 2 season, how will Roman react to it? laugh.gif

We need the right blend of experience, quality and youth. And also Emenalo is not helping. whistling.gif

Chelsea plot to keep John Terry after he retires

John Terry will be given the opportunity to stay at Chelsea beyond the end of his playing career when the club open talks about a new contract later this season. The captain’s existing deal expires in the summer and negotiations over another 12-month extension are expected to start next month.

“There are no concerns over [Gary’s] chance of being in the Euros because he is of big value and he will prove that in the upcoming games. If a player is not playing frequently then they must get a bit frustrated and I talked with Gary a few days ago about this situation, which I like always to do with the key players. He is and will be of big importance with the multitude of games we are approaching.”

“Gary was very open and very clear that he loves to stay at this club. There was no possible space left by him to say he is not happy here. Of course not playing gives a bit of frustration which is normal but I like very much his attitude in training. He never gives up and that will always be rewarded. There was no hint from him of wanting to leave the club.”

And on Remy:

“He is injured for the moment. He has a slight injury on his calf and we’ll see what will happen in the upcoming days. I don’t think being injured now has an influence on him staying or going.”
