The Daily Mirror reports the Dutchman is eager to test himself at the top level in the Premier League and thinks Hiddink can have a big impact.

Koeman said: "If Guus puts a good word in for me, that would be a big influence."

The 52-year-old Saints boss has had success with Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord in his homeland, winning multiple Eredivisie titles.

He told Dutch radio: "It is certainly something that I always have at the back of my mind.

"I always want to achieve the highest possible level. That has happened in Holland and that's what I'd really like to achieve abroad."

sos tomato

thoughts?

His first season in S'ton was good. Partly due to the team spine left by Pochettino imho. His 2nd season in S'ton is not going on very well after he made several signings that he wants.

I prefer Pochettino over Koeman. Just look at Spurs this season, and how Pochettino keeps his faith in youngsters like Alli and Dier.

Yea. The team that Pochettino manages always got youth breakthru into first team. In S'ton, they have players like Clyne, Chambers. Now in Spurs, Pochettino give chances to youth like Alli, Mason, Bentaleb.

I think Pochettino can work wonders with RLC, Kennedy and Bamford. drool.gif
