Average good enough for beginner who just want daily coffee without a hassle at home but wont expect close to cafe standard.... you get standard thick foam for latte and cappuccino.

Why not get PHILIPS Poemia.... seem alot of ppl using here  hmm.gif

I am indeed a coffee beginner biggrin.gif PHILIPS Poemia is just too expensive for me. If not mistaken, the lower range is around 1k?

Any other reviews on this product? I am not sure about the technical spec, and the brand itself.
if not mistaken, the brand is from Taiwan? LOL not really a coffee-centric nation, but maybe they make good espreso machines?

Philips Saeco HD8323 Poemia at Harvey Normans for RM559.

You should also check out other home appliance shops such as Best Denki, AEON Jusco, etc.

One more thing: what grinder do you intend to use? I'm a Poemia user (and also classify myself as a coffee beginner) and I must admit the grinder seems to be a far more important component in your coffee kit. For example, I am still battling to get a consistent decent cup from the machine when depressurized. When pressurized I can also taste the difference between the grind that coming from my Feima/equivalent 600N and the Hario Skerton hand grinder.
*
Grinder? haven't a clue! I intend to buy the ground coffees, so no need to grind, hehe.
And you are just being humble; I know your comprehension in coffee is quite good!

QUOTE(luvox @ May 9 2016, 07:07 PM)
Not worth it. It is toy machine. It is my first machine. I got one brand new set initial bought as a gift for my bro, but he had no interest in coffee. If u wan i can let go at rm 180.
*
Any particular reason? i mean, is it a reliability issue, or the coffee is horrible?

QUOTE(SonnyCooL @ May 9 2016, 07:45 PM)
No more 599 ..... sad.gif
*
LOL what do you mean no more 599? The link @lowkl provided quote the price at 559, lol

Recommended for descaling? this is mineral based, not sure how it differs to other types of descaler, though

Lactic acid, same as Henkel.
*
QUOTE(1tanmee @ Dec 18 2017, 04:31 PM)
so which one's better? lactic or mineral?
*
QUOTE(kk131 @ Dec 18 2017, 04:51 PM)
If you read the details from the Lazada link you quoted, it's lactic acid. I don't know where you see that it's 'mineral'? How could 'mineral' dissolve limescale?
*
I may misread 'machine' as mineral. My bad!

QUOTE(serigala @ Dec 19 2017, 01:28 PM)
ok for me..i use it on my superauto before...

thanks for the input!

Alright noted with thanks. Now to do some research.

I do notice that delonghi don’t seemed too popular at least in this Lowyat coffee thread lol

Is it really that bad?
*
Wonder is it just me, or delonghi is bad in making froth milk? Seems that temperature is not stable, and the wand could die in the midst of frothing milk! Not sure if my machine is faulty??
