You can also get for RM899 from dankoff but its sold out. The one from FB group is most likely preorder. J Coffee. Just search on Facebook and message them. Last I checked you can only get it in October.
just to add... for a few bucks above 1k... I'd get the feima yang chia 900n super jolly clone...it'll fit both mazzer and ssp burrs if wanna upgrade in future...
this wpm is a no for me
mind to share y is it a no? cos it's cornical burr?
a lot of plastics used... not robust/lasting... cannot really grind the harder light roasts properly...
I don't have 1st hand on this wpm... but similar class like breville smart grinder that costs more suffer this problem... if I remember correctly the sunbeam is even worse
the small conical burrs are ok... in the old days, the trespade burrs are excellent for espresso but they are solidly mounted.
the wpm can grind for espresso but doesn't mean it's good... imho at close to 1k, I'd wait for the df64, if can't then the 900n
Hi guys, I'm new to this coffee field. Anyone can introduce a budget coffee machine? Budget around 400-500, I'm looking around Shopee and Lazada but most famous Brand like DeLonghi has minimum price of 600++...
Saw some options in Shopee: 1. Airbot CM6000 (Local warranty 1year and new product by Airbot) 2. Donlim KF6001 (China brand, short warranty 6months, but high reviews)
Any other options you guys can recommend??
not sure about those... you can add gemilai 3601 into your list
I also preorder df64. I order from J Coffee. Did you order there? I can tell you their replies suck big time. ask anything take them ages to reply whether on FB or whatsapp. I ask them when is the eta for the df64 since they promised early to mid of Oct. Totally no answer. This is really the first and last order with them. Ask to join Milesto group also not approval. I gotten WPM KD310 but no grinder at the moment that can grind for espresso.
yupe...from them.... i received message from them on mon...stock arrived but then i paid the remaining balance...till now no reply yet..lol
Hi guys, been using Gemilai CRM3605 for some time and recently I bought a 58mm bottomless portafilter from Lazada.
Was super excited when I received it yesterday but unfortunately it couldn't fit into my espresso machine. Is there any other recommendations from other people here?
PS: I'm letting go the said portafilter if anyone is interested.
it couldnt fit means you cant lock it or? i bot mine from taobao...fit nicely...no issues.. i think alot ppl bot from shopee or lazada also...no issue as well...you can join the gemilai fb group
hi guys... im going for my first camping experience.. just wondering wat kind of brew suitable for camping? moka, french or pour? hmmm...currently i only have french press at home..lol
hi all.. im planning to buy a hand grinder for french press for my outdoor camping activities.. is hario handgrinder good? i need to grind around 60gm each brew of 1lit
Hario is OK for grinding for french press use, I've been using a Hario Mini Slim for several years - I usually use an aeropress and occasionally a moka pot or an espresso machine. The problem with it is that the lower burr is not well stabilised and it produces uneven sized grounds that cause problems if you're using an espresso machine. There are a couple of modifications that you can make to it that improve the consistency of the grind (I 3d printed a stabiliser). I bought my Hario when I was still new to brewing coffee and I subsequently bought an electric grinder, so now I only use it occasionally.
My recommendation is that if you see yourself using a hand grinder for espresso coffee in the future, then look at some other brand - there a few discussed in this thread. They are probably also more efficient judging by some of the comments.
thanks..i gotten myself a df64 for espresso shot..but now hunting one for camping use..haha

i would suggest timemore c2,faster and more uniform grind size..price just a little bit extra
i saw alot different brands in TB...some brands have different conical burr options...5,6,7 teeth.. the more the better?
I am surveying to upgrade machine. It is time to decommission my long served crm 3605 since 2021 and I found this MiiCoffee Apex it seems have a good review and comparing with gaggia classic pro.
unfortunately, looks like it's not selling in msia. anyone have any idea where to find this machine?

Yes, it actually has 2 PID, one measuring the boiler temp (which is common for most HX with PID) BUT another one measuring the water exiting the group head, which is an innovation. This measurement allows the controller to adjust the group head temperature to one of the 3 settings you choose (behind the drip tray)
Setting 0: 91-92 C Setting 1: 93-94 C Setting 2: 95-96 C
The reason why you might not "see" the PID is because most people think that PID means the temperature display, but it really means the probe that detects the temperature and feed that data to the controller. For Mara X, you choose your target group head temperature using the 3 settings above. Other traditional HX with PID, even though you can specifically choose - say 94C, you still need to flush and surf because a single boiler simply cannot achieve accurate group head temp with the old tech.
You can also look at Lelit Elizabeth, it's a very good dual boiler machine if you steam a lot and doesn't like HX. Super accurate temp and modern features.
hi bero.. how's the machine? still running good till now? appreciate the feedback. thanks
