Been hand-grinding for pour-overs and I've been getting a bit inconsistent lately, coffee not too good. Thought I'd check out some electric burr grinders on a low budget

for kona 100% beans, best to go for french press or espresso?

don't think the paper filter is so smart can recognize which oil is healthy and which is not

anyways a lot of the aromatics are in the oils...

Hey coffee lovers. So in my search for new grinder, I have shortlisted either 1xBaratza Encore RM760 or (1xeoleo 600n & 1zpresso jx combo ~RM850). Does this sound reasonable? Ohh I kind of need to buy machine grinder, cause will share with my dad. I don't want him to waste energy manual grinding. But I also don't want to compromised that much on grind consistency for my coffee (dad not much bother with this issue).

I mostly brewed on kalita & aeropress. My dad use french press.

Thank you. After a lot of reading here & on reddit, I end up ordering the 600n & 1zpresso jx. They said in term of grind quality, jx are much better than encore, and the 600n is good enough for my dad(also when I'm super lazy or have cheap beans).

Plus I ask PPPcoffee, they said Encore might be back in stock early June, but they can't promise it. There are quite a few post on reddit mentioning issue when it come to grinding light roast bean with the encore. can you confirm this? Most of the bean I bought is light roast. I dunno, I hope i make a correct decision lol

If I'm not mistaken some were saying there were lot of fines when grinding light roast when compare to jx. But I can't remember where I read it. Now that I think of it, all grinder will have some fine when grinding light roast right? I dunno

cant find much review on timemore grinder,
I am thinking to get either
1zpresso K-plus (about 700-800 from taobao)
or get a timemore cheaper grinder but with decent quality and upgrade later
or a comandante c40 mk3

Anyone has any idea on it?

**I dont really like the paper filter coz it makes the coffee taste mild without the oil. Bought steel filter, but the pressure is too low. If got budget later i plan to buy fellow prismo

I have always been using Cores Single Cup Gold Filter with ready blended coffee and I have a french press too. Recently, I gave the Cores filter to my dad to try out and I am looking for a new filter. Is there any other good recommendation for a filter which do not require the use of paper filter?

I have also been planning to get a good hand grinder and is looking into 1zpresso K pro. The reason I choose K pro is because I think I might want to get an espresso machine in the future? Or should I get another model of hand grinder at the moment?

I'm definitely interested in Baratza Encore like how every redditor recommended but looking at the price in shopee it's like omg 2-3k price.      

I second that. Tahan lasak also. Using Encore apart from replacing the Burr Holder now and then(PPP sells them about Rm20 each) going into 6 years of usage for V60.
