Water used for french press should be near boiling, but not steaming hot at 100 deg C and more, right?

Anyways, if anyone is using Cuckoo, could pls confirm the temperature for the hot water pls? I dun hv thermostat, so unable to figure out the temp |

QUOTE(squallx840 @ Nov 3 2019, 02:16 PM) You actually need to grind finer. 1:16 / 1:15 coffee to water ratio. but finer grind would make the ground coffee to go up, when pressing down the plunger? What kind of french press you have, does not matter at all. They are all the same. I have the Mr DIY ,Bodum and Ikea french press. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=st571DYYTR8 |

For cold brew coffee, use cold water or room-temperature water?
