hi anyone using Gemilai 3605? would appreciate if anyone could tell me if the steam wand nozzle tip can be replaced i.e to 3 holes. And if it would produce sufficient pressure?
*
Gemilai 3605 is pretty weak compare to those bigger boiler machine. For example, I need around 75 seconds to steam 190 ml milk to around 60 degrees. I don't see any point changing to 3 holes. The advantage for weaker steam is you have more time to perfectly microfoam your milk. Disadvantage is when you become more pro in steaming milk, 75s feel slow and milk will be more diluted compare to powerful dry steam.

Didn't know there's Gemilai and Milesto fan group in Malaysia. Good find.

I wonder Milesto EM18 M3 got PID or not?
*
Based on the specs, no PID. Just thermostat. Go for EM19M3 with build in PID.

The advantage is bigger boiler based which is more stable than thermoblock. Also easy to mod with external PID.

Smart Plug is better than 24 hours timer in a way you can send the power on command thru your smartphone to the appliance when you are on your way home and have an urge for espresso or latte. No need to wait for the machine to warm up once reach home.

I'm always grinder first, espresso machine second. I own the Niche Zero for more than 6 months and can said it's very consistent on the grind quality. Most of my espresso pull for 17.5g ground to 35g espresso around 28-32 seconds. Recently I upgraded to BES920 and the combo are really good.

What about automatic machines?

Can stretch my budget to rm3k
*
If you are interested I got an old Jura Ena micro 9 for sale. I bought it 4 years back but only use it for less than 6 months. Then in to the storage. I now only use semi automatic Breville BES920. Frankly speaking semi auto still taste better than fully automatic but if you want fast and easy morning latte, this is as good as it gets.
