QUOTE(moonrabbit @ Mar 24 2016, 01:16 PM) Noob question here. I bought this Redmi 3 at DirectD. Can DirectD detect whether the phone has been rooted or not, if one day I really root this phone? I kind of dissatify with all the bloatware and thinking about rooting this phone. But I don't have the stock firmware as well. Afraid if they can detect the root status, it will void the 2-year warranty. Anyone can explain? Flash this version : p/s: anyone want to suggest any good custom ROM for this phone? http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-3/de...-gapps-t3327352 Then update to this if you want : http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-3/de...hpcnck-t3337791 So far, both of the rom does not have bloatware.Been used it since got my phone three weeks ago Credits to both ROM developer |

QUOTE(moonrabbit @ Mar 27 2016, 05:30 PM) Do I need to root the phone before flashing the 1st suggested ROM? Or can I just flash it without any root? Thanks! No you don't need to root before flashing the 1st ROM as it uses MiFlash(like odin). But for the second ROM, you need root, hence that is why I suggest flashing the 1st ROM and then the second one |

QUOTE(moonrabbit @ Mar 27 2016, 09:24 PM) thanks bro for the clarification. but im thinking of flashing the one w/o root 1st. Both roms i gave you are pre-rooted.just nak buang all the bloatwares..lol But if you want non rooted with bloatware removed, there are links for non rooted version on the first link that i gave you. |

QUOTE(munlok30 @ May 13 2016, 12:29 PM) so any proper solution ?? if have , please provide me with a link and guide .. Check this link :i hate some of the pre-install app .. and those are spyware that is pre-install into the phone as well .. terrible -.-!! , non stop free adv and pop us adv -.-!! very annoying .. please help if u know http://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-3/de...-gapps-t3327352 The version is quite old but works well because no China bloatware and Google play already installed. I suggest you flash the above version, then apply for bootloader unlocking. Then you can flash newer and updated rom. Right now there's no Global rom for redmi 3. You can also use China Stable if you wanted, but you have to install Playstore manually and live with the China bloatware. |

QUOTE(amdxp @ Jun 1 2016, 12:18 PM) I bought an AP set, Redmi 3 (not Pro) for my girl. To replace her ageing Iphone 4S. Xiaomi.eu rom is by far the best rom because it is based on China Developer ROM with China bloatware removed + multilanguage + extra tweaks from there. Not sure when the Official EU ROM will be launched, but I did go thru some sweaty moment doing all the roms stuff. The biggest issue I face was that I already flashed to "SWING" locked bootloader rom before I got the unlock key. 1. So went a few ways to have it unlocked, as I had to find my way to get a fastboot Chinese official rom. 2. Then from the chinese official rom, use updater app to flash to global (chinese) dev rom. 3. Then unlock with MiFlash unlock 4. Install TWRP via fastboot method 5. Installed latest SWING mod english rom, regretted it because I hate the SWING boot animation 6. Install eu.miui latest Ido rom, happy with that. So I have some experience on Swing locked bootloader rom, CN official rom, CN global dev rom, SWING unlocked latest rom, and finally eu.miui rom. I must say I like the last rom as it's so closed to proper global rom and quite slim (rom size) in comparison. |

QUOTE(kucingfight @ Jun 3 2016, 12:05 PM) thinking of getting one There's no global rom for redmi 3. Only China Rom. I suggest you get the Redmi 3 Pro version because it is 3gb/32gb + fingerprint. Around rm 650 I think at lazadais this a reliable seller? global rom? http://www.gemfive.com/my/imports-xiaomi-r...nternal-storage |

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ Jun 4 2016, 11:22 AM) I have a Redmi 2 1st generation bought from Directd before MI Malaysia launching it. The phone is getting laggy now and I intend to factory reset it. I wonder if I factory reset this AP phone, will it reset to its original China version without the Play Store? Depending on which Redmi 2 you have, but some of the models has Global ROM, you can always flash to Global Stable ROM.The issue with Redmi 3 is that it has no Global ROM yet. |

QUOTE(SpaThuGz @ Jun 12 2016, 06:25 PM) Need help. I installed twrp. I then wipe then installed xiaomi.eu_multi_ido_V7.3.1.0.LHPCNDD_v7-5.1 through twrp, then reboot system. It just shuts the phone off. When I try to turn it on, it vibrates, flashes mi logo for few seconds, vibrates again, then just turn off again. Your bootloader is unlocked officially? If yes, try flashing stock rom using MiFlash via fastboot.Normal boot, vol up+power and vol down+power, just the same thing, except vol down+power flashes fastboot logo for a bit then gone. |

QUOTE(vanpersie91 @ Jun 13 2016, 09:09 AM) Guys, No Global Rom nor warranty covered my Mi Malaysia yet. I'm considering to get Redmi 3 lar. What is current RRP in Malaysia, and when the phone comes, does warranty covered by our local Mi Center? What does ROM included? China rom or international rom with google playstore, google apps included? If you wish to buy Mi Malaysia set, wait for Redmi 3A/3S because it is going to be released in India then hopefully Xiaomi Malaysia will brought in,hence the global rom. But if you ask me, better get Redmi 3 Pro (Fingerprint + 3gb/32gb + SD616) priced around Rm 650 on lazada. Although it is AP Set and China rom, but you can always flash to Xiaomi.eu ROM after you unlocked your bootloader which is about the same or better than global rom. |
