QUOTE(Criptonox89 @ Dec 15 2006, 07:40 PM) Adjust? You mean hold it or what? Sry..can't get what you mean.. I think he means adjusting the height of the pickups. Distance of pickups to the strings can produce different type of sounds. If you pay attention to your pickups, their heights are different and the bridge pickup is a bit slanted to one direction. If you're the adventurous type maybe you can make your own pickups. I think i'll settle with adjusting the string action/height instead should a need come one day. QUOTE(chester43 @ Dec 15 2006, 08:38 PM) one more thing to ask.. a pickguard is use to protect the body from getting scratch by pick or fingers rite.. but my yamaha ERG121 dun include one.. the body have some scratch now.. wat should i do. ..the scratch never gone although i keep on polish it.. thanx again guys.. You can buy one and drill holes yourself to install it, or just use some double sided tape to keep it on. Either that or get some cardboard, real cheap, cut out the shape of a pickguard and use thin double sided tapes and stick it on.

QUOTE(joeboto @ Dec 15 2006, 10:10 PM) since we r in 'adjusting pickup' thread, i wanna ask sumthing. my strat copy pickup r a bit weird. got 3 pickup and got 5 pickup selector right? thats normal. whats weird is, when i select the lowest ,mid and highest pickup selection, it produce the bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz sound. whats this? and how can i fix it? that's the famous humssssss or buzz you get with SSS pickups, or guitars without humbuckers (pair magnet opposite) Try playing away from the computer/TV. Certain electronics can cause interference. use a non-fluorescent light in your room. Use an AVR with proper grounding. Make sure you're grounded too, remove the damn carpet. Finally, read this. http://www.neelyguitars.com/Pickups.html
