Anyone has this error message on their smart tv? Sometimes its NW-8-17 or Ui-113.

Have researched extensively online but to no avail. Malaysian netflix can access no problem, but when I try to use getflix, somehow it sometimes show this error message.

Have tried rebooting, resetting, logging out of netflix, etc but still always the same problem. TV is connected thru wifi, netflix is watchable on other devices on wifi tho.

Other devices connected to wifi such as phone, ipad, laptop.

For some reason, this only happens with the tv. The TV (LG UF950T) is state of the art, and it can access online content.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling netflix, still the same problem.

Then I thought that maybe the TV has preconfigured dns, so I went to configure static routing on the modem, so that the TV only directs to getflix's dns.

Have already flushed dns cache also.

Still the same issue, sometimes it loads (rarely), mostly it doesnt. Very frustrating.

And I have 2 LG TV's at home. Guess what? Both same issue.

Malaysia Netflix on the other hand, loads super fast and no issue.

Hi bro Shinka,

In addition to the DNS, think you still need to set the Smart TV Country manually to US if you have not done so.

Best of luck!

these devices with same getflix/dns can get usa content?

if yes, then it's whole new situation... netflix blocks effective on smart tv's but not on handheld devices?

or some cookies resident in tv "betraying"? hmm.gif

I am not entirely sure. Will try the method proposed above first. Sounds plausible.

I don't think that netflix can target specific devices.

Actually, I dont mind paying more if netflix has a worldwide plan that can let you view all of their international content.

I just feel that Netflix Malaysia has very limited content. Just look at the amount of movies under the horror category.

Tried using your advice, however the list of countries in the LG options are limited to countries in the asia region and australia.

I guess all LG TVs in Malaysia have this region lock down encoded in their system.

I would strongly encourage anybody who's planning to use VPN/unblocker to watch netflix to avoid LG TVs.

I have 2 of them at home, and both are the same.

Haih..should have bought a samsung instead lol.

Hey all, just wanna ask. Let say I cast netflix from my phone to my smart tv.

Will 'casting' degrade the quality? Will I be able to cast 4k or 1080P content?

Sorry, new to casting here.
