Kepong Community Centre head Yee Poh Ping said Kampung Chim Lee has been occupied by the squatters for more than 50 years. “A developer acquired the land for a mixed development project and of the 52 families affected, 15 agreed to the first compensation package but 37 did not. “They brought their case to court but were not successful. “We negotiated with the developer and they have agreed to give each family RM10,000,” said Yee. The developer will also give them a 10% discount on the purchase price of the Federal Territories Affordable Homes Programme (Rumawip),” he added. The compensation will be paid over two payments of RM5,000 each. The squatters were given two months to vacate the land and move to PPR Intan Baiduri. Yes, the exit road to MRR2 so damn small. Luckily the road segment infront of the henge to mizumi got 6 lane. Soon, when the mizumi and metro kepong completed, for sure they will park at the roadside, that makes the road from 6 lane become only 2.
