if you've adjusted the handbrake cable to the max and the car is still moving, then it's time to change your handbrake cables.

QUOTE(blueworm @ Dec 18 2006, 05:22 PM) I m facing the same problem like u also. Didn't you read my reply in the previous page? 2 places to adjust. One at handbrake and one at the calipers itself. If mech say dunno how to do, go find another mech.but my mech say my caliper not working d, need 2 replace. try 2 adjust the 1 near the handbrake b4, but also still not working. |

Not necessary unless the caliper side can no longer tighten. The handbrake cable seldom stretch that much to the point where it cannot be tighten anymore. Usually the mechs tighten the handbrake, then caliper becomes loose, tighten handbrake somemore, caliper becomes loose again, to the point where handbrake side can no longer tighten anymore. Always check the both ends first. |

there is a DIY guide for a WiraSE on ZTH on how to tighten the ebrakes on the drum side. requires removing the drum cover and turning a gear or something like that. looks simple. try searching at zth DIY section
