hi all,

just wondering, how much would it cost roughly to renovate a double storey house into a house with say 10 rooms? (illegality aside). Would hope to use walls instead partition.

depends on your land size. It will be sort of hard to squeeze 10 rooms out of a standard 22 X 80 land size even extended fully front and back

10 rooms with concrete would be difficult to be demolished later, this is your own or rented property?

Lol I would assume it will be his own. Don't think there's any landlord that will approve of such a big scale renovation on their property.

House floor can take the load or not? If anything happen, house owner will be jailed like the section 17 fire incident sometime ago.

water and electric will be a big a problem as well. As mention above it can be high risk of fire unless your house is already 3 phase electric. Water and sanitation would be another head ache

I think his intention is to rent out and maximize profit for 10 rooms..

anyway, can be as cheap as using plywood, or as expensive as laying bricks.. it really depends on what u intend to do.. u need to redo wiring for all the rooms as well

The Local council won't approve this, not to mention landlord yet.
