budget?I think if you intend to learn piano using the keyboard, you would have to buy a fully weighted keyboard, good weighted keybed are not cheap laugh.gif I'm currently leaning toward the Roland A-88 midi controller as the keybed gets a lot of good reviews

1) Keyboard is NOT THE SAME as piano. No such thing as a Electronic Keyboard piano. There's eletronic keyboard, digital piano and piano. tongue.gif

Depends on your budget. If you really want to learn piano, minimum must go for a digital piano. Reason is digital piano will simulate the weight and analog feel of a real piano. Normal electronic Keyboard is just light plastic.

I think it can be anywhere from RM2k and above.

You can check garage sales and go for 2nd hand, might find a good bargain there.

Good luck!

Bumping an old thread because I need some advise about buying keyboard too.

I've never learn on how to play a piano, but I intended to try learning by myself first, and then take classes. But the thing is, I don't have a piano.

Opting to buy a keyboard cuz it's cheaper, but I'm a poor fag. I mean, really poor. My range is about below Rm500. So I'm kinda left with buying low quality keyboard.

What brand of keyboard is suitable for such range? So far that I've search, the ones within my budget are Fujicom, Techno, and unknown brand XTS-661. All of them are 61 keys keyboard. Are any of those brand is functional?
