Saw it looks nice overall with aluminium magnesium body really looks premium + so portable.
Only if the bezel is thinner hmm.gif
Anyway I still no where near QHD yet due to scaling issue. FHD is good enuf personally

hd < FHD < IPS FHD < QHD < UHD (4k)

scalling issue , you mean the resolution?
*
Not the resolution but apps that sometimes scale horribly that result in microscopic text or the fonts don't scale properly. No such prob with FHD because majority still cater to the latter

Any ASUS ZenBook UX305UA users? How is the machine/predecessor ZenBook?
I m impressed by the aesthetic appearance but curious about
1) the heat dissipation function? How good is it under normal operating ambience (i.e. good ventilation, minimal dust)
2) after sales still so so like before?

I m interested with following specs
1) i5 6200U (don't want core M)
2) Win 10
3) 8G memory
4) FHD will do, no need QHD
5) GPU dunno what GPU they use

Key usage
- mainly for work involving words, excel etc nothing graphic intensive; surfing, real time streaming of sports, no intensive gaming, just occasional facebook type game
- welcome any other recommendation as i m not sure if my specs overkill for simple applications. tq

The ventilation is decent, and since it is core M, so they won't generate as much heat as i5-6200U. Performance wise, I personally think that core M us sufficient for you usage. No gaming, no graphic work, and no programming work. Core M is created for a more efficient and power-saving in the long run. biggrin.gif

What is your current budget? If you have a high budget, might as well get a Dell XPS. More reliable in term of after sales service. Asus after sales service is never good. laugh.gif

Ya i know that core-M is running on TDP 5W vs core i5-6200U of 15W but not sure about its "power" but now that u mention is actually sufficient for my non intensive use i will also consider core-m models.

Budget around 3-4k region. I think XPS a bit costly around 6k?

Design wise zenbook quite appealing. like the wedge type n slim type. I heard the xps carbon palm rest is a magnet for smudge/fingerprints or something, though the "borderless" display is nice

Hi

anyone know if this model Samsung notebook 9 is available here. I like the sexy look + quality build of magnesium alloy (really light) + decent performance too.

Specs:
13.3", FHD non-touch PLS (i no need touch)
Intel HD 520 graphics (should be ok because i hardly play intensive game/heavy editing photos/videos?)
Core i5-6200U processor (15W 2.3GHz enuf as i hate laptops with poor heat management)
8 gigs RAM (enuf)
256 gig SSD SATA-3 (enuf)
Windows 10 Home 64 bit (i know this is still a bit unstable)

If not available in Malaysia, is it available in SG?
If not any comparable models (I am ok with 15.6", 128G SSD but no core-m type as doubt on passive cooling)
Tq
