As I neither using a Dell/Acer at the moment, was wondering if you guys have additional opinion on both choices. Both suits my work demands, but perhaps there is a deal breaker noted by the sifu in the market.

The initial launch of new Pascal desktop gpu r very impressive in perf/watt & price/perf due to stiff competition fr upcoming AMD Polaris gpu. It wont be suprise the next generation mobile gpu gtx1060m might prawn gtx970m within ur budget. 

Commandos gaming series similar like famous Aftershock series in sg using similar popular Clevo gaming barebone. Gigabyte gaming series similar like mainstream Asus, MSI series. 

looking for lightweight laptop for working purposes. Mostly will br using it for online, watching movies and lightweight gaming. Budget can be vary. Looking at surface pro 4 but limited storage space and not sure how well the type cover works is putting me off.

if you dont care about after sales service and like the design of ROG laptop, then asus is for you

ok thanks i will look around. the convertible looks decent tho, but is it really useful? dell inspiron 13 looks nice to me, but im skeptical about the screen quality as it is not full hd.

where got 40fps
gtx 950m can play dota 2 with ultra setting up to 60fps without problem
dota 2 is not a gpu intensive game unless game like the witcher 3 and others AAA title game, that one only can play at medium in 720p reso, higher than that sure lag below 30fps

sometimes old driver is the culprit for fps
try update the latest driver maybe can fix that problem

Mac air 13' spec sufficient for 3D model renderings and stuffs?

Umm...might need some 3D rendering softwares, I haven't started my course yet so not quite sure haha
