Thanks for the recommendation above. I personally would avoid ASUS coz 3 friends are currently using similar model and it aint good. Do you have any other suggestions? With NVIDIA card perhaps.. 2k budget is really limited though. would radeon performance > nvidia in this case?

I need to buy a laptop by/around July. Should I wait for Computex 2016 announcement and GTX 1000 series laptop graphics cards or get a laptop now?

Say I prioritize CPU and RAM over GPU now since AI requires more CPU and RAM power, which model would be a better choice? Budget still around 2K, 13-15" is just fine but hopefully the screen color accuracy is good if non-full HD display

Yup understood. Both models suggested earlier was paired with i5 5200u 4GB RAM and gtx940m/r7 amd card. What about those without gtx940/r7 but perhaps with better i5 procs?

hi thanks. those have built-in nvme already. I'm looking for ones with empty slots. I see some gaming laptops have it, but they are big and bulky. the "lightest" so far I've encountered is Illegear U4. I'm trying to look for alternatives

nope. I'm considering sacrificing the touch. I'm still not sure what to get. the new acer alpha 12 is almost perfect except that it doesn't support thunderbolt 3 and no usb-c charging.

mostly software development. but using vmware need plenty ram huhuhu. convertible is nice for casual usage
