Preferred brand - any brand

Budget - 2.5k to 2.8k

Usage - Architecture related programmes [autocad,etc], animation, photoshop, maya, and other general use

size - err not really sure

personal preference - hopefully can last for at least four to five years?

Need laptop with 17" screen. The cheaper the better. Need nvidia gpu and some tomb raider etc.

I'm interested to get a new laptop since my current laptop is 5+ years old already. Recently the gfx card died and will cost around RM160+ for "reballing". It'll work I hope but wont be sustainable in the near future.

Thus interested in a new laptop. I believe I should wait for the latest technological advancement in gfx card to come out first such as the GeForce 1000 series. Waiting for the mobile versions. I'm a gamer. Do any of u guys know when that might be?

Consider k501lx but couldn't find one in malaysia website. Only found k501ub which has lower spec of graphic card. If not, pls suggest other model which is better

i dont gaming , i do coding mostly
i prefer lenovo because which has more powerful processor and SSD built in.
but i heard that lenovo comes with good spec but low quality.

Hi guys, looking for ultrabook/light weight laptops recommendation

3. Usage: Office, civil engineering softwares such as Autocad, Java and only light photoshop, not for gaming

5. Others: SSD if possible for that price range, RAM can be upgraded to 8GB.
