How is that slight wider tire add stability? How fast you are going to attack the corner anyway? note that at sape tire pressure, wider and narrower tire will have same contact surface area to the tarmac. This is pure physics. The common wrong conception that many people have is that wider tire will have more contact surface thus better grip

If you want to increase performance, you should replace the stock wheel and get lighter wheel. I believe the stock wheel is not as light as more performance wheel. This will help reduce braking distance and improve fuel economy more significantly.

dunlop lor..cheap cheap and good for normal driving.

eyeing for the Dunlop D05 but no 14". probably going for LM704

j5 is available for this model

did some research

from the website:

J5 is more to basic performance (good braking, wet and dry handling)

LM704 is more to long life and comfort (low noise, longer life)

dont know which one is better

i was eyeing the D05 because it is kinda jack-of-all-trade, all rounder tire

dont think the lm704 last long.looking at my friends tyre,it wear faster as noticed.

does any tyre shop nowadays will trade-in your old tyres?

if the size is common size and still very thick yes.
otherwise most shop wont take trade in or some shop maybe quote u a price for tyre that include trade in old tyre.
which the price of not trade in tyre and the trade in price is almost same.

price rm 800-1100 for rim only.
6j and 6.5j suits 185 tyre.
