QUOTE(ImanAzlan @ Dec 22 2006, 03:48 AM) Impressive huh? Btw, I wonder... izzit only me got the effectiveness of BT+Cfosspeeed? NO, tho' I am not particularly sure about that... I'm using trial version of CFosSpeed. Well, at least 3 of my torrents can run at the same time now... and the rate is more stable than before.

QUOTE(eXPeri3nc3 @ Dec 22 2006, 09:58 AM) NO, tho' I am not particularly sure about that... I'm using trial version of CFosSpeed. Well, at least 3 of my torrents can run at the same time now... and the rate is more stable than before. Update - It doesn't really affect the surfing speed but the bandwidth hogging seem to decreased. And Yes, oner of my BT's manage to get 50kbps after I left it for 12 hours running straight... I can connect to more peers and seeders. It also keeps my connection running more frequently.

And one side point, I'm using version 3.01 only. I dunno about others, and whatever new function that is available. Anyhow, here it is. If your BT connection isn't moving, downloads paused... Or website stopped loading as your DSL light is not blinking, cFosSpeed can make in run. Just "send calibration pulse" and magically it'll run again. I use it to boost my BT connections.

QUOTE(J-Slade @ Dec 24 2006, 12:20 PM) Sadly, the latest version does not have this 'send calibration pulse' feature... I wonder how does this 'pulse' thing work... Oh? Old version have it. Em, I dunno is it just me or what... It helps me to continue DL-ing/BT-ing/loading if the connection is stucked. Anyhow, I don't think cFosSpeed works with Tuotu, it works greatly with uTorrent Darn, wanna switch back to uTorrent...

QUOTE(Cosef @ Dec 24 2006, 02:31 PM) On v312 it has Calibrate line thingy, feels like 'send calibration pulse' once I press it...the speed goes up abit.... My statement is proved. QUOTE(die_257 @ Dec 24 2006, 02:40 PM) Well, you can manually insert Tuotu in the list of BT client. That is how I do it. Tried uTorrent with cFosSpeed but no go. Only Tuotu give me good speed. I'm the opposite QUOTE(J-Slade @ Dec 24 2006, 05:19 PM) ArgH! ur not supposed to press calibrate line cos that'll reset ur calibration settings and it will take another week to get the optimal settings again! >< =-= You sure or not.... mine, calibrate, after like say 5 secs it'll turn to optimal settings. For some torrents it might depend on seed and TMNUT capping throttle timing[i.e. peak hours etc]

QUOTE(Cosef @ Dec 25 2006, 02:22 PM) Is that v312 Calibrate line just like older version of send calibration pulse + clear calibrate data? i'm switching back to v310, I got the 'send calibration pulse' choice I think it's a total different story. Luckily I'm using v3.10

Another side note, cFosSpeed is incompatible with Outpost. After I install... it doens't work anymore... Although I'd enable everything inside... Damn... >_<

QUOTE(Diligent Sloth @ Jan 4 2007, 11:34 PM) Gosh, it doesn't speed up torrents per se, its not a speed booster, more like it lets you get MORE out of the current bandwidth you have, able to utilize it fully without having to pay a latency cost(or a minimal cost). Its good for a 1pc - 1 connection scenario, but it doesn't cater well for networks as cfosspeed cannot detect other computer's traffic on the network. On another note, the latest beta drivers are now digitally signed so they *should* install properly on vista, www.cfos.de/beta to give it a shot it works for me... at least I can connect to more seeders and peers. tho' I'm the only one here experiencing that

QUOTE(Diligent Sloth @ Jan 5 2007, 07:58 AM) It might help you connect to peers faster but it doesn't actually directly speed up your torrents That's what I'm trying to say But at least it indirectly affects torrent speed. QUOTE(Diligent Sloth @ Jan 5 2007, 08:52 AM) Goto the console and type spd sethops 52 Its a temporary workaround for the problem =-= what's this? temporary workaround... for what? what settings it changes?

QUOTE(Diligent Sloth @ Jan 6 2007, 03:47 PM) Dunno why tmnet is blocking traceroute for certain IP, so this ensures that your ping will reach its destination and back, not the best of solutions but hey, it works HMm I see. Will do this when I reach home soon. Thanks.
