QUOTE(ccschua @ Feb 15 2007, 11:52 AM) I have already mentioned. check post #92 for latest price. Bro, your "L" shop can do cc installment or not? If kenot than no choice la,must buy from HSL.seng H*** and H** are like best denki and mediaplex, dont waste your time checking with them. they cant do the price like desa or L*****. For some reasons, these shops that u mentioned claimed to be Fair Price, which means lowest. This fair price scheme make me laugh, whenever i hear on Radio. It appears the L shop cant be beaten. The only nearest contender might be Harvey at the weekend. rgds |

Finally got my 1st tv yesterday.....and it's a LCD
Bought Sharp PX5M 32 inch. After comparing all the big players PQ on astro I and my wife agreed that Sharp and Toshiba are the best.Becoz the difference using composite and s-video not so noticeable (for amateurs like us 1. Freeze mode (my wife really attracted to this feature very much 2. Better design 3. Automatic backlight control (manual control my user also possible). 4. Replaceable backlight lamp 5. Fastest respond time in the class (6ms) 6. Extra 1 year warranty by Sharp p/s : Thanks all for all the advises and opinions |

QUOTE(timothyy @ May 10 2007, 09:15 PM) Many of them don't even know what is 480 or 720 or 1080, i or P... Agreed. That's why i let my eyes do the job and finally get the sharp They just buy the most expensive one and assume they got the best. For example... how many ppl know Sharp got one of the best LCDs in the market? If we go and do a survey, I'd say most people will choose Sony or Samsung as they do the most advertisement. |

QUOTE(sunauto @ May 11 2007, 02:02 AM) When the movie is not smooth, then it's time to troubleshoot, is it the player's fault or the display's fault or both. It's like using our Sony 76H, on certain LCD tvs, when you output in 1080i, the picture is fuzzy and jerky but when you drop to 720p, the movie comes alive at this resolution. Sometimes, you need to tweak the settings for the best picture quality. If your display has 720p native resolution, there's no point feeding it with 1080i/p resolutions because your display is limited to 720p and it has to scale down to 720p if you feed it with a higher resolution signal. The LCD tv's built in video scaler is of inferior quality so the upscaling and downscaling of a source will often give a big impact to the picture quality. Most of the shops that I've went to, had their dvd players set to 1080i but the LCD tvs are only capable of displaying 720p in actual fact so it resulted very jerky and poorly saturated colours as well. How to know what the display lcd tv capable of displaying? Check the product specs? How about Sharp PX5M? |

QUOTE(stimix @ Aug 3 2007, 03:11 PM) I just got my LG 26LCR LCD TV this afternoon..hooked up to Astro and felt so bad The PQ so bad & worst than normal CRT TV!! Aiyo bro..U never read the previous posts? especially if compared to CRT. But I don't care much about the PQ. What more important is the "wow" factor of having lcd tv in my living room Nway, from my amateur eyes I cannot see@notice major improvement when using s-video cable although in theory it should be better. So my advice is do buy the s-video cable if you want to statisfied yourself but don't buy those expensive one (e.g Monster Cable). Waste of money. Cheap s-video cable can get from low yat. Less than RM 20. Hope this help p/s : want to njoy lcd? buy xbox360 or ps3 |
