QUOTE(limjenson @ Dec 28 2015, 11:05 AM)
No mah, a lot of his supporters here say we are pushing the panic buttons mah. Or quoting his World Cup run as his credibility. They know much better than us.
And clearly have short memories. Even when we were top or close to top, there was complains on the playing style already. Those 3 straight wins wasn't pretty games. but they seems to think that we are only complaining now cause of the bad run when some of us was already complaining last season where we were stumbling while Liverpool was surging up before suddenly LVG hit a purple patch to finish the season in 4th.

At least then there was an excuse to give him a full season. But now after a full season and a full summer window, we are still being accused of panicking and being in hysteria.
*
Actually, I made that comment because the last 2 to 3 seasons your posts and comments were calmer than now. Unhappy when things went bad (which is normal and cool), but still with a good amount of logic and sense. Of course, I have a very short memory so maybe that memory of mine was also bad?

Unlike now, you can't even state sponsorship deal info accurately, you act like this place is here to come and take a dump on the manager and anyone who doesn't flame him as well is "his supporter" (even though I have United jerseys and 0 "LVG supporter" kit), and for whatever reason and you see fit to do this passive-aggressive snarky eye-rolling sideways comment thing towards my posts instead of calmly discussing it or debating with numbers and facts.

Oh yea, you don't actually care about my posts though, so I must be too "perasan". Short memory is so hard! Better than you? No. Just less dramatic.

Sometimes, i kinda wonder whether it is the players' faults or manager's fault.

Remember when we defeated Everton 3-0 in October? That's the best performance of the season IMO. How were we able to produce that kind of performance? The players. Remember when we convincingly defeated Spurs, City and Liverpool(away game) last season? How were we able to produce those performances? The players.

LvG can be stubborn at times, like playing Rooney, Uncle Pokok and not playing Herrera etc. There are some LvG's faults too, like changing players' positions, not playing better players.
But don't just blame the manager.

How many of us were saying we've chance on winning the title this season when we defeated Spurs, Liverpool and City convincingly? I bet it was a lot of us, including me.

It's actually a very interesting article!

Highlights about Bielsa:
- He is well known to be super-active on the touchline
- His team plays intense football
- Tactical guy, but his teams press relentlessly and run a lot (He managed Herrera at Bilbao when they knocked us out of the Europa League a few years ago)

“The workouts are intense but enlightening, technically and tactically,” said Gignac. “He knows everything to the smallest detail. I glanced at his training schedules; there are hundreds of them and every one featured games he analysed. He taught us a vibrant, real type of football.” This snapshot of glowing praise from one of Bielsa’s prized assets illustrated exactly how he can enrapture footballing minds.

Bielsa has always adhered to the “running is everything” motto and his players didn’t shy away from this taxing physical demand. From the outside looking in, Bielsa may have cut a ghastly figure, stalking the pitch on the touchline and displaying an explosive temperament.

For many, it was Bielsa’s emergence as manager of Athletic Bilbao that made them sit up and take notice. He took over from Joaquín Caparrós in the summer of 2011 and once again enacted dramatic changes to the set-up and style of football. Bilbao had finished sixth under Caparrós but there were growing concerns over his particularly bland style and when Josu Urrutia – a former midfielder and club legend – became Bilbao’s president, Bielsa was instated.

Dude, I wasn't even sure of the sponsorship deal that's why I ended it as a question. I didn't state that as a fact and you want to bring this up as an argument?
Seriously?

And you keep calling me passive-aggresive snarky eye-rolling sideways when you are doing the exact same thing now. Calling me this fella, that fella, emotional fella.

Let's just agree to disagree that we each have our own opinions. Each of the points that you made, when i made a counter argument, we both have ppl supporting our opinions.

It's a mix of both. Players need to deliver on the pitch (otherwise it ends up like Chelsea under Mou recently), but it's also up to the manager to get them confident and prepared (and use the right tactics/plan/etc.)

Hence different situations need different changes, and it also depends on the club culture i.e. player power is stronger at Real Madrid and Chelsea, while manager has more clout at some other clubs (Arsenal? United under SAF?)

With LVG the bottom-line is this situation cannot continue for long, so either he has to turn it around fast or he will be sacked (if Kayu isn't already working on it)

Blaming players or manager is not going to change that bottom-line situation

Sponsorship: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...3m-penalty.html

Extract:
QUOTE
Details of the Adidas deal highlight, however, the changing nature of United's sponsorship agreements, with the 10-year tie-up linked to performance on the pitch unlike previous partnership deals.

United will see the £75m-a-year payment drop to £52.5m if they fail to qualify for the Champions League for two successive seasons.

But although United will not compete in Europe during the 2014-15 campaign, the penalty clause only applies from the start of the Adidas deal from the beginning of the 2015-16 season, so this season's absence of Champions League football will not be taken into account.

Also within the Adidas deal is a clause which states the company can reduce by half their payments to United for every season they spend outside the Premier League should they be relegated.

United stand to gain a £4m bonus, however, on any occasion that they win the Premier League, FA Cup or Champions League.

Fair call on the agree to disagree part.

mid to late January is when the pressure will be highest

Next 2 games are Chelsea and Swansea at home, where our record is better (and Basti is back from his ban).

The 2 games after that are both away (to Newcastle and Pool) and since our away form has been weaker since last season...............
