Brother or sister, RAM has already pass the age where faster isnt gonna get you better gaming performances. DDR3 and DDR4 differs in clockrate which you are not going to see much difference when you game.

I see that you did your research which i will give kudos to you.

Using the Acer to play high settings will pretty much depends on what game. Older game sure, newer games maybe because 950M is an entry level card (for me) while 960M is entry level gaming card (if it makes sense. sweat.gif )

Bottomline is this

Better spec is Dell with one of the best after sale services and good cooling and best self maintenance laptop in the market.

This is my view the Acer i presume the newer model doesnt seem to be able to handle the heat very well because it is damn thin (it might throttle the speed thus negatively affect gaming experience) and its after sale services is bad compared to Dell.

If you have time, type in the model of the laptop and add in notebookcheck and see for yourself. Example dell 7559 notebookcheck and nitro notebookcheck to see.

what they say 960>950 in gaming so dell it is
as for cpu lots of ppl get mixed up with all those ending with U, HQ etc
if you wana see the CPU performance, those 2 are in different level..
refer here for U, find the proc model
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/mid_range_cpus.html
refer here for HQ, find the proc model and compare the 2 marks
https://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html

the U is in Mid range, while HQ is in high range
the HQ score is almost 1.45 x better than the U so u go and decide smile.gif

Note : if battery life is very important to you, U is the way to go tho, ultra low voltage but lower performance. those are the diff
as for esthetics, search in youtube for the models then you can see how good looking and feel they are..
