1) JPJ Transfer of Ownership Procedures
-Mandatory inspection at Puspakom branches for the said vehicle. Inspection B5 and B7 (For cars under finance)
- Transfer can only be done at JPJ branches nationwide
-Sellers and Owners must be present in person at JPJ offices to facilitate transfer or ownership.
-Both seller and buyer must have a working MyKAD to enable biometric thumbprint recognition to be done.
2) Bank loans
-As mentioned, nowadays most banks do not allow direct cases (seller and buyer) and would only go through their dealers / panels.
-The existing loan of car to be sold or bought must be fully settled with the banks before another loan is applied.
