QUOTE(tishaban @ Feb 1 2016, 09:33 PM) Anyone here applied for the Citibank Prestige card, with the current ongoing promotion of USD100 hotels.com and 200k Citi Rewards Points? Very few responses in the Citibank specific thread, so I thought I'd ask here. Bro, can you enlighten us with what you means by "added advantage of Avios, Qatar, Etihad, HHonors, IHG, etc."? Doesn't seems to find their terms and condition mentioned anything about the advantage towards hotel rewards program. Thanks in advance https://www.citibank.com.my/prestige/applynow.html In summary: - RM1,060 annual fee *not* waivable even for the first year - 1 Citi Reward Points per RM1. (2 points per overseas RM) - 200,000 Citi Rewards Points after spending RM12k in 2 months (roughly 30k AM/KF/Enrich with the added advantage of Avios, Qatar, Etihad, HHonors, IHG, etc.) - USD100 hotels.com voucher - free 4th night stay if you fulfill certain requirements - free KLIA limo, free PPL etc. My objective is purely the miles so overall the 30k free miles is attractive, the free 4th night is lukewarm, the RM1k annual fee is a huge turn off. This seems to be a watered down version of the US Citi Prestige card https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/credit-ca...i-prestige-card And the calculation of miles earned per RM 1 spent oversea is 0.29 miles for new Citibank member, 0.40 miles for 10 years old Citi Gold customer. QUOTE(tishaban @ Feb 3 2016, 09:49 AM) What I meant was that the 200k Citi Rewards Points can be transferred to other programs and not just KF/AM/Enrich, including Avios, Qatar etc. This is more in line with American Express Membership Rewards and quite a bit better than Maybank Treats Points. Thanks bro for the info I don't disagree that the earning potential is very limited compared to Maybank Premiere cards. Also no word on annual fee waiver. I was actually wondering should I go for it. Quite sure that the annual fees wouldn't be waive unless substantial amount spent(CIMB World Elite MC needed RM 1mil). What I'm wondering is, are there any other benefits(Not on paper) that is exclusive for World Elite MC holder or special benefits from Citibank itself. |
