Just go thru to benefits of Marco Polo, just curious if i still reward with MP point if i already tied my Enrich number with my MAS account on all booking hmm.gif

can let me know if my comparison between ambank world master and citibank premier miles correct?

ambank worldmaster oversea spending
RM1 = 5 Ambonus
5000 Ambonus = 1000 Asiamiles
so RM1 spending is equal to 3 Asiamiles

citibank premiermiles oversea spending
RM2 = 2 premiermiles
1500 Ambonus = 1000 Asiamiles
so RM1 spending is equal to 1.333 Asiamiles

it looks like ambank world master is much better

Something is wrong with your mathematics but yes, Ambank WMC/VI gives you better mileage conversion value.
*
yup, you are correct. the info i typed is wrong doh.gif

ambank worldmaster oversea spending
RM1 = 5 Ambonus
5000 Ambonus = 1000 Asiamiles
so RM1 spending is equal to 1 Asiamiles

citibank premiermiles oversea spending
RM3 = 2 premiermiles
1500 Ambonus = 1000 Asiamiles
so RM1 spending is equal to 0.444 Asiamiles

now ambank got give extra 1% cash back and 30% more miles, really worth it rclxms.gif

I saw both will get 5x treat points on oversea spending and need 7000 points to convert 1000 asiamiles points

Yes for Asiamiles, compare to ambank wmc/vi.
KF and EM will require more for M2 Plat.

However, Amb WMC/VI will offer you 5x points for overseas, but for Maybank, only Amex entitled 5x, Visa is 1x even for overseas.

I was using combination of M2 Plat Amex + AMB WMC.
Use Amb for overseas (enjoying lower exchange rate too) and those local expenses which does not accept Amex.
*
i see, so actually ambank miles conversion become so worst now and comparable to M2 Plat Amex...

just that I can keep ambank WMC to access lounge. Personal trip will use ambank WMC to save the forex exchange fee but company trip will use AMEX thumbup.gif

did i did my calculation correctly? Maybank amex get more Airmiles than Ambank now?

Citibank PremierMiles - RM1 for 0.444 AirMiles
RM3 for 2 PremierMiles spent overseas
1500 PremierMiles for 1000 AirMiles

Ambank World Mastercard - RM1 for 0.4 AirMiles
RM1 for 5 AmBonus spent overseas
12500 AmBonus for 1000 AirMiles

Maybank American Express - RM1 for 0.714
RM1 for 5x TreatPoints spent weekdays
7000 TreatPoints for 1000 AirMiles

I have the same cards as well.
I used to use the AMB WMC a lot last time especially overseas, now it's collecting dust and next to useless after they depreciated points twice this year.
This is my table (for Amex mine is M2 Premier, I think yours is M2 Plat):

let me change mine to follow your format. Is there mistake on my side for the citibank premier miles and Ambank World Mastercard? it show different calculation

Citibank PremierMiles - RM2.25 for 1 AirMiles
RM3 for 2 PremierMiles spent overseas
1500 PremierMiles for 1000 AirMiles

Ambank World Mastercard - RM2.5 for 1 AirMiles
RM1 for 5 AmBonus spent overseas
12500 AmBonus for 1000 AirMiles

Maybank American Express - RM1.4 for 1 AirMiles
RM1 for 5x TreatPoints spent weekdays
7000 TreatPoints for 1000 AirMiles

Yes you're right, only my AMB is wrong. I didn't update the AMB figure since they revised it AGAIN a few months ago (it was already depreciated once in January this year - previously it was RM1:1 AirMile).
Just apply for the Maybank 2 card premier if you can, and that's all you need. No other card even comes close to the benefits of M2P. There are many ways to get the card even if you're not eligible, such as pledging FD. If you're serious about collecting AirMiles, this is one of the best credit cards in the WORLD (you won't find ratios much better than USD0.25:1 Mile)
*
Thanks for the advise, but this Maybank 2 card premier has 2 cards and have to pay for total RM50, maybe i can try to get the visa infinite for oversea spending

Once you get this Maybank 2 card premier just charge all your spending into this card. Other cards can pretty much cancel already. You need commitment to earn miles lol.
*
QUOTE(mr_tuzki @ Nov 24 2019, 11:47 PM)
Totally agree with the below statement. Other cards are practically useless. And what is RM50 when you're earning thousands in air miles. I have already earned RM 6 digits worth of free airmiles. If you're not spending enough to be collecting sufficient airmiles then just better play Cashback card. If you want airmiles then go all in.

Yes you could just apply for the standalone VI, but don't tell me you don't have any local spending in RM? For local spending you should always try paying with M2P Amex you'll also get Rm1: 1 Airmile.
*
i got thought about this but Maybank 2 card premier have to use american express right? AMEX still not that popular in Malaysia, or even asean countries.

Big merchants all accept amex. For small merchants just choose those that accept favepay and tag your Amex card to it.

Most petrol stations accept amex. For bills I still have no idea yet but genx blog should give you an overview on how to pay with amex.

May i know the second visa/master card that come with card also getting 5X points for local and oversea spending with 1:1 miles redemption?
