Could it be that you are allergic or your skin not suits to the eyeliner or mascara brand you using? I used to encounter the same till I changed brand for the mascara.

I'm no where near sifu level, but if I'm not mistaken...your skin glands produce oils if it detects your skin being too dry. It's our skin's natural reaction to protect itself from continue drying up.

So probably what you're using is causing dehydration. I can't remember whether it's the alcohol content that's making it dry or not, so you may wanna check out on that or some other experienced ones can explain further.

Try some moisturizer?

I'm no sifu either but yes, you can be allergic to certain mascara/eyeliner. I once tried on this mascara given by my sister and it stings as well. I've used lots of other mascaras and eyeliners but there were all okay. So you might want to try another brand of eye make up. Fake eyelashes won't sting either, you just need a good glue to make sure it doesn't hurt your eyes and it stays.

As for oily face after applying BB cream, I was told that if whatever cream we apply has SPF in it, it's usually more oily. What BB cream are you using?

Oh but my face is only oily after putting in make up. Other than that, my face is fine. But i will take note about the alcohol content for my future cosmetics purchase. smile.gif

Ya ya, what I was trying to say is that what you've been putting in your skin could be dehydrating it. So your skin's natural defense mechanism will kick in by producing more oil to keep it hydrated. So for your case, seems like the bb cream is the one dehydrating your skin lol.

bb cream with SPF or PA has sunscreen in it. therefore it will have oil in the ingredient. if you are oily skin base, you can try liquid base foundation.

Lol, well if you don't mind living with it then it's normal. Mine is kinda oily....some ladies uses those oil absorbing sheets. Usually front liners who meets external parties uses this if they couldn't solve their oily skin problem. Just to make themselves look presentable.

During your free time, you could research on stuffs that can prevent or reduce your skin from producing excessive oil.

I'm actually trying to bring in some shea butter cream into Malaysia, that's the one i wanted you to try out for me last time. It may help, I could send some for you to try out if you want.

Could be because different skincare regime when using and not using makeup.
What's you skincare regime when using makeup and when not using makeup?

It might be also that actually no difference in oily skin with or without makeup just that you are more conscious of it when you have makeup on.
When you have makeup on, you tend to check your face more to make sure makeup is still ok, no smudge etc...

As for the eyes stinging, either your mascara or eyeliner could be the culprit. Try use one without the other to determine which is the culprit.

yeah i prolly should do some research. will take a while for me cause i'm not just new into make up, i'm new into this whole face hygiene thing. i only use facial foam and toner. then when i got into my 30s only started moisturizer. but i don't put it everyday... all in all, i'm just a lazy ass. i sometimes skip washing my face. laugh.gif

shea butter cream? thanks a lot dear but i think no need to go through all the trouble to send one to me. can get it at a nearby pharmacy here. smile.gif
so the shea butter cream reduces production of excessive oil?

oh gosh, now i'm going to expose how noob i am in this skincare thing. laugh.gif
um, i just wash my face and use toner and then immediately dab on the bb cream.

when not using... same thing facial foam, toner... last time use laneige water gel. now use cellnique.
once a week use scrub. hehe

ooh, i AM very conscious when i have makeup on cause i'm still not used to it. also cause i'm not so confident with my skills just yet.

i have eliminated my KATE eyeliner. it's not that. going to check if it's the artdeco eyeliner or the mascara next.

You're in your 30s?
Very far behind in your skincare.. At least the basic wash, tone & moisturise. And sunscreen during daytime. At least spf30 unless you're always out in the sun.

If you can't be bother with the in between like serums and what not then maybe get the basic wash tone and moisturise range targeted to your skin concern like anti aging, whitening etc.

Bb cream is not moisturiser, so you still need moisturiser under.
Google Caroline Hirons.
You don't have to go through her blog, just go through her cheat sheets.

Fundamentally, it's a superb natural moisturizer. From there it'll bring about quite a number of benefits.

It's kinda rare (and unpopular) in Malaysia, not something you'll find off the shelves easily sweat.gif
Google up on it, just a few companies are selling it here & they're still small. Which is why I decided to import it.

Hehe yeah, i just lack the enthusiasm when it comes to skincare. I got good genes (from my mom) and dont suffer from pimples and breakouts. I rarely go out cause i work from home but i think i better start on those anti-aging stuffs. Forgive me, i am super blur when it comes to skincare terminology.

I will google hirons later. Thanks for the tip!

for me certain make up remover really stings my eye. btw for the bb cream I am using garnier acne prone bb cream. i think it is made for those with acne hence lesser oil...and its affordable...rm14 like that
