This is for Europe requirements by reducing the max volume output of iPod. I guess mr better skip this update as my i frequently connect my iPod to mini hifi where higher volume level than normal is needed.

you guys should really check the date first for any firmware update/release at the website you're referring.

plus, we don't use iPod Software Update anymore to update iPod's firmware.

the latest firmware is 1.2.1 for ipod video updated through itunes..

haha this is funny, no wonder when i saw the title of this thread, i was like..wth?? i just updated my firmware weeks ago now got new firmware???

then ooo it WAS 2002 firmware..

Hmm.. that's weird as my iPod video 60gb also running 1.2.1 all these while but suddenly was prompted in iTunes there is a new firmware update, i chose downloand only and did not install.
