2. the default modes of std, movie, dynamic... are good.
use them according to each hdmi input/device/app.
std is good for youtube, text; movie is good for local playback/streaming videos.
dynamic is good for HDR video but with backlit maxed on.
u can slowly tweak all the settings of each mode according to yr own liking.

3. juddering - when gaming, streaming online, local playback with tv player, playback with other device?

extra tips:
.. if u find the homecreen juddering, go to settings, about and restart the android.
.. read the user manual, online copy or tv itself - plenty to learn.

that method does not work with es fm or asus fm.

but works with xplore.

also, power off remote does not immediately let it install.

power off turns tv off, then power on again, go back inside, the greyed out area is gone, can install.

if not there, check internal storage if it is there.

check to see how much memory used... possible some large pieces of junk causing trouble.

Really weird that it does that... Factory reset should sort it out. Unless its some hardware issue, as it reminds of a Home Theater system that once unplugged from power loses select settings customization in memory. Plug back in and power on, it works but modified settings have been reset. As long as it has power, it remembers..Even from standby mode.. It remembers. But once power cut off... Poof gone! and have to factory reset it to redo the initial settings so it sticks till the next disconnect. So could be a similar problem with your unit. If a factory reset doesn't resolve it, then time for a warranty claim.
