QUOTE(AVFAN @ Apr 24 2016, 10:12 PM) think so. The specs shows that it is only 4k. They promote it as 8k?next bigger size will be an 80" LC-80XU930X - an 8k tv! https://sharp.com.sg/web/products/prodDetail.asp?prodId=644 |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 26 2016, 02:21 PM) No, not if dun hv that kind of money to blow. I see. Im planning to get a 4K TV in the next few months. Still undecided on what to get. I prefer bigger size compared to other features. 80 incher would be nice but I don't want to pay more to because of a feature that I don't really use like the 8K resolution. Any recommendation? But the upscaling in this 80inch is v good, i must say. To my eyes, for same video, it came out as good if not better than the 50 and 50 inches. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Nov 26 2016, 02:58 PM) The ue630x series come in 50, 58 and 65 inches. Uhd 4k, no hdr. Woah.. u just made me realize that 630x didn't have HDR. Now I am more sad. lolThe 80 inch is a diff class, 8k. Perhaps u can check out the 65 inches model, should be cheaper now. U r right to say 8k material is lacking, in fact, almost nonexistent. Even 4k is not common at this time, very limited. But like i always say, a 4k tv with good upscaling is worth it if u play mostly hd and bluray videos. Personally, i am also very pleased with the 630x for another reason - the google androidtv that's built in. As a heavy androidtv user, i find it extremely useful to able to sideload my fav apps in the tv, no need a separate box. My own apps plus those from playstore provides more than enough to watch everyday, mostly in HD. The usb playback function in this tv is not so good, sensitive to some hdds, won't read. For that, i use my android box. |

I was actually thinking of getting the 65" since it is at a good price range for me. But with no HDR, I have to reconsider. Anyway thx bro. Good info. I thought this series got HDR as well.

QUOTE(DannyOP @ Nov 29 2016, 08:20 AM) Hdr or no hdr is not important compared to actual image quality. You can have tons of specs but still look horrible. How successful is the hdr implementation is more important. Thanks for the input bro. As you can see, I game on PS4, and with the latest HDR update, a lot of existing games is going to implement the HDR feature. Not to mention, all the latest one will support HDR. According to most review, the HDR really a game changer for most games. Hence that is why I am looking for HDR support for the TV.Hdr tries to improve contrast and colours, but is still limited to lcd limits. Which means, it will never have unlimited contrast and perfect black level. Which means, it will never beat any Oled tvs. |
