Just got my new unit 2 days ago. So far satisfied with my unit. However, not able to get KODI to be functional yet. Also noticed motion blur for high paced dance movement. Is this normal guys or i need to change the settings or something? The manual is pretty basic for installation and etc only.
Thanks. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Dec 8 2017, 03:20 PM) kodi works. how do u mean not able to get it to work? Thanks for replying... got Kodi nstalled and completed the addons however not appearing in Kodi homescree however could be due to poor wifi connection. Will try again once i get my unifi 30Mbps. motion blur... what source is that? if poor source, poor output... For the motion blur, played 4k video songs from youtube. Once the singer moves in the music video fast it looks like there is a lag / drag effect. Is this normal? Settings at default mode. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Dec 8 2017, 03:58 PM) kodi is an androidtv approved app, it should appear on homescreen once u install it. I'm only on mobile data for now.. hotspot... Lol...what speed r u on now? if <30mbps, u won't get 4k youtube videos properly. 50mbps or higher, u get all of them! Shall try again once i get my Unifi installed.. Thanks for the advice.. |

QUOTE(arvind13 @ Dec 8 2017, 04:27 PM) I'm only on mobile data for now.. hotspot... Lol... Hi again... I got Kodi installed on my tv LC50UE630X however would like to check on the motion refresh settings since fast motions are not smooth on the tv. Is it due to Aquo motion not available for this model thus max refresh rate is only 60Hz? Is there any other settings to improve the refresh rates? :/Shall try again once i get my Unifi installed.. Thanks for the advice.. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Dec 21 2017, 11:37 PM) u need to describe more for anyone to comment. I played a 720p movie on my TV via USB but still had the motion judder during fight scenes or fast action scenes thus believed it could be due to TV refresh rate only allow up 60Hz. Didn't have this motion judder on my samsung plasma full hd tv. Perhaps it had higher refresh rates than my new sharp tv. :/... still using wifi hotspot? .. what kodi addon, what link, what video r u referring to? u need to understand kodi and other online videos aren't the best to test a tv's performance n capability. because online streams can vary a lot from good to real shitty... also depends on yr internet speed n stability. better u test with a proper player, good source, playback hdmi into the tv. |

QUOTE(voncrane @ Dec 23 2017, 02:16 AM) Itβs genral knowledge that Plasma TVs perform much better at motion handling than most typical LCD-LED TVs, especially with entry-level ones. I believe what AVFAN told you is correct. Before dissing on the TV's features, you must first test it with proper media content. Hook up a decent blu-ray player, pop in a couple of unadulterated Blu-ray discs and sit back to compare while tweaking motion settings if need be. Bet you probably downloaded that 720p movie from a questionable source and have no idea the amount of processing and what nots that it went through before being uploaded for download. Even Blu-ray rips floating around have varying degrees of quality. Nothing beats the physical disc. Try that. Thanks for your detailed explanation.. shall try the above options and see if that makes any difference... πππI own a Samsung TV and not a fan of them fancy motion smoothing tech. I turn all off as I want to see swift proper movements as the director intended. Smooth playback especially properly done Blu-ray. My 2 sen. |

hi all...my sharp lc50ue630x unable to proceed with the software update. The software update does appear on my homescreen however when i click on the update it goes to the update screen then error message pops up saying "Update failed". Does this mean i can't OTA update and will need to manually update via USB? Any link where i can download the latest software update.

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Apr 4 2018, 11:57 AM) it may mean yr connection speed too slow or something u installed is blocking it. Don't think it's because of the connection as youtube and other internet apps working fine when connected to Wifi (30Mbps). Tried to update a few times on alternate days but faced the same error message.. Shall contact Sharp technical team to check further on this.. Thanks for the suggestion.. i do not suggest u "download and DIY" - these may not be trustworthy, may brick yr tv. u can contact sharp service, they will send technician to update manually. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jun 26 2018, 11:39 AM) I'm currently having an issue with my Sharp UE630X - 50". It just won't play .srt files from the usb drive unless I combine the sub file with the video file. Tried vlc,mx player and archos player but still failed. It was working fine earlier then had a motherboard change by Sharp technician since my tv unable to auto-update to latest android version which stops me from watching Netflix as it requires me to update my android version first. I'm also having an issue to install apps other than google playstore now..have turned off the security to allow installation from other than google playstore but still the "INSTALL" button is greyed out when trying to install 3rd party apps. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Jul 17 2018, 05:24 PM) it is quite normal that the srt must be named same as main file in the same folder for it to play. .. Cool shall try this workaround later..QUOTE .. Yeah i always ensure the .srt file name matches with the movie file name. It worked well before however after the 6.0 update stopped recognizing he .srt file. you mean 4k / bluray video player right? if u mean embedded subs can't be played, it typically means it is a new format embedded, player can't read. like i hv said many times, the tv player is not good, can only do small, simple videos well; will struggle with bigger newer types. time u buy a box player! possibly due to updated firmware/security patch, some apps fail to sideload with es file explorer. the "install" button is washed out, cannot be clicked on for some apps. however, there is a workaround - use of x-plore app from playstore and a simple trick - on/off with remote, resume X-plore to install. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LuEYd1fpstU&feature=youtu.be the android6.0 of this tv is still good for many things. incl sideloaded apps - astrogo, unifi playtv. i even used acestream+reddit soccerstreams for live wc2018, good. just be mindful not to sideload dubious apps that may contain malware. normally, the security of the tv will stop it and not install at all if it detects it, but try to stay away from unknown suspicious apps. QUOTE Thanks for the detailed comments as always... |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Dec 11 2018, 05:41 PM) ue630x... Hi bro, just a quick check if this TV supports 5Ghz Wifi band or only 2.4Ghz as it can't detect my Unifi 5Ghz band? this tv of mine has reached 3 years; hope nobody's unit gone kaput! i hope everyone who has this tv is still enjoying it as much as i do. stable with android6, all apps working nicely, incl netflix, youtube, astrogo, zaltv, etc. the wifi module is pretty good, can do all i want it to 60ft from the router. bought a new optical cable->avr for prologicII 5.1 audio, all is good. |

QUOTE(AVFAN @ Dec 12 2018, 05:40 PM) if u hv 300, 500, 800mbps speed, replace stock router with a better one. I'm on 630x. Modem & Router currently placed right below TV thus could be due to weak 5Ghz signal from TM DIR-850L router. Thanks buddy! if your tv is not too far from router (<30ft best), the tv can give u all the good stuff with 5ghz. 630x shud b same as 6800x - tv wifi 5ghz can get >200mbps. if far, like 50-60ft, 5ghz may not show, tv will fall back to 2.4ghz. |
