kodi is an androidtv approved app, it should appear on homescreen once u install it.

what speed r u on now?

if <30mbps, u won't get 4k youtube videos properly.

50mbps or higher, u get all of them!

I'm only on mobile data for now.. hotspot... Lol...

u need to understand kodi and other online videos aren't the best to test a tv's performance n capability.

because online streams can vary a lot from good to real shitty... also depends on yr internet speed n stability.

better u test with a proper player, good source, playback hdmi into the tv.

It’s genral knowledge that Plasma TVs perform much better at motion handling than most typical LCD-LED TVs, especially with entry-level ones. I believe what AVFAN told you is correct. Before dissing on the TV's features, you must first test it with proper media content. Hook up a decent blu-ray player, pop in a couple of unadulterated Blu-ray discs and sit back to compare while tweaking motion settings if need be. Bet you probably downloaded that 720p movie from a questionable source and have no idea the amount of processing and what nots that it went through before being uploaded for download. Even Blu-ray rips floating around have varying degrees of quality. Nothing beats the physical disc. Try that.

I own a Samsung TV and not a fan of them fancy motion smoothing tech. I turn all off as I want to see swift proper movements as the director intended. Smooth playback especially properly done Blu-ray. My 2 sen.

it may mean yr connection speed too slow or something u installed is blocking it.

i do not suggest u "download and DIY" - these may not be trustworthy, may brick yr tv.

u can contact sharp service, they will send technician to update manually.

it is quite normal that the srt must be named same as main file in the same folder for it to play. you mean 4k / bluray video player right?

possibly due to updated firmware/security patch, some apps fail to sideload with es file explorer.
the "install" button is washed out, cannot be clicked on for some apps.
however, there is a workaround - use of x-plore app from playstore and a simple trick - on/off with remote, resume X-plore to install.

this tv of mine has reached 3 years; hope nobody's unit gone kaput!

i hope everyone who has this tv is still enjoying it as much as i do.

stable with android6, all apps working nicely, incl netflix, youtube, astrogo, zaltv, etc.

the wifi module is pretty good, can do all i want it to 60ft from the router.

bought a new optical cable->avr for prologicII 5.1 audio, all is good.

2.4 and 5ghz.

5ghz will show only if signal is strong enough.

if 5ghz too weak, it will fall back on the 2.4ghz.

if u hv 300, 500, 800mbps speed, replace stock router with a better one.

if your tv is not too far from router (<30ft best), the tv can give u all the good stuff with 5ghz.

630x shud b same as 6800x - tv wifi 5ghz can get >200mbps.

if far, like 50-60ft, 5ghz may not show, tv will fall back to 2.4ghz.
