Hi All, does anyone know any good places to buy man-made diamonds? It's very much affordable and its quite difficult to tell it apart from the real thing even with a professional's eye.

Any recommendations?

especially woman.......they have keen sense to know if the diamond is naturally made or man made

Man made diamonds is no different from fake diamonds.

Or imitation diamonds, no matter how you name it, it is not a real diamond.

Can buy 1 real and 1 fake, anyway if your partner don't care about all these its better, coz I better buy a house/car/etc in her name rather than a stone

if marry then use real stone lar, once in lifetime mar

im only asking for recommendations on shop, not to ask people to tell me go for real stones. LOL

Need them for extra rings for wife, myself, kids etc or maybe as proposal ring or such before the actual ring is bought, safe side. No harm buying them

Nola, concern only because if you intend to use man made diamonds to propose then better not. It may not be apparent when alone but when put side to side with a real one, it's going to stick out like a sore thumb.

I just cannot imagine the humiliation if your love ones is having afternoon tea with her friends when all of a sudden, one of the friends decided to talk about the diamond ring her boyfriend used to proposed to her only.

Anyway, if you want to look for a good one. There is a shop in First World Genting. It's a small department inside TANGS. You won't miss it.

i understand that marriage is expensive.
if ur budget range is 1k.
dont go for man made diamond. or rather synthetic diamond.

u may try out WAHCHAN at sunway pyramid.
there is a set of diamond ring range from RM500 i believe.
those is approximately 0.15 cts. it looks elegent,nice and presentable with 9k white gold.

however, if u are going for 1cts with rm1k.it's fine,np for us guys.
do take note several future question marks:
1) when it's 1cts. the 5C's is very important. when it's doesnt shine, people know it's a very low quality. and be prepared next that:
- ur wife's friend or others may speak sarcastically and when it comes, u are in difficult situation.

2) wife request for receipt. right after u propose or give the ring. 1-2weeks later,she will request the receipt from u. many reasons behind.resell or upgrade or ring or diamond and many other reason.

3) certificate of diamond. every diamond come with GIA certificate.if she request for certificate, there are many description such as VVS and others. it is the specification of diamond.

4) for 1cts diamond and above.it has resell value. unlike other diamond 0.5 cts and below.


there are many more to mention. however, just bear in mind,whatever we give or we do. it will reflect upon us. simple saying, we just want our wife to be happy.
dont make your life in future susah.decision is up to you and so long your wife is happy. others comment doesnt matter. after all, she is your wife.

so no harm, if u are looking for just accessory, u can look out several location such as, swaroski at midvalley megamall. though it's synthetic, it is a reputable company.

nope, got myself a Hearts on fire rock from habib

had a great look on what they offered, all are D color and flawless rock, looks great if you want to impress people

how much are the hearts on fire rocks from habib though? and also if you don't mind sharing where you went to for your ring after the rock?

habib has plenty of settings of which you can purchase, i opt for a three prong setup
else you can bring the rock to your favourite goldsmith and ask them to do for you

IIRC i got the rock at 6-ish k, couldnt remember exactly what was the price i paid
you can goto wahchan/habib in bigger shopping malls (KLCC/Sunway/Midvalley), they do have loose rocks for sale, so you can choose the 5Cs according to your budget
IMO it's better to go for a better cut (IE 3EX) than opting for a higher grade colour/clarity as better cut will make the rock shine better

also, opt for GIA certified rocks instead of IGI rocks (there are plenty of articles around about the stringency of rock grading)
