I get to know one of my fren who get his MBA from Japan has failed to get a decent job (he wish to consultation job or strategy management job)
He now work as an engineer as before he went Japan. Changing field after MBA is not that easy. At least in Malaysia is very hard. The paid for MBA is no different of a bachelor holder in most company. I think doing MBA part time is more safe, but wish to change a field like my friend, it is not easy.... What u guys think? |

Added on August 5, 2008, 9:51 pmOn sunday I have attend a MBA preview form MSU, Management Science University which is formerly call PTPL
I found that this new MBA which is only about 2 yrs plus of their first batch is surprisingly exceed my expectations. Besides normal lecture, they also encourage innovative teaching. Encourage student think out of the box, they will have class outside the lecture hall, such as survey or activities in shopping complex. They also build up their students networking recently. What surprise me is 1. they teach u presentation skill beside the syllabus 2. teach u the manner when in western dining, business dining etc 3. teach u play golf (with minimal cost) The founder of MSU MBA, is also former MMU MBA founder. The classroom and facitilities INkLsentral, I have to said, is no more better than an ordinary tuition center. However, this MUS at least not sell only teaching method of thename of MBA like the other public Uni MBA. Is this MSU as good as it said in preview I am not sure, if someonestudy in MSU MBS, kindly share with us |

QUOTE(RJdio @ Aug 21 2008, 09:29 PM) Vertigo - care to update us on what your plan is now.. Im going along a similiar route. It is the first time i get to know company will sponsor MBA in Malaysia....so so niceFolks, Other than Manchester is there any other program with emphasis on Engineering ? Is it the still the best ranked in Malaysia. Cost no issue as I can get a corporate sponsorship. I'm also considering programs in SG, but with 7 yrs experience, I dont qualify yet for the ivy league EMBA's. Plus those have a lot of out of town travel which Im afraid will conflict with work schedules.. Anyone one know of MBA form University East England? Refer to www.wimnet.org.my |

QUOTE(zazoo @ Aug 25 2008, 11:18 AM) I saw the CeMBA requires a CeMAT test. Anyone knows is it the same as GMAT? Is that compulsory or what? Asia e University cost RM21kThere is another new initiative by our government - Asia e University. The eMBA looks OK thou but seems lacking of information now. http://www.aeu.edu.my/ Wow CeMBA is RM 16k but u only attend tuition class in a certain time and i wonder it will be the same with other MBA. Without the link with other classmate is the disadv compare teaching face to face MBA. ANd a local MBA even u said it is no quality is cost u about RM 20k. Not much diff. Is a distance learning MBA is better ?If u hv time to attend classes, a normal MBA suppose a better choice.. |
