At the end of one match I saw a few people say in chat things like "GG :/"

Now I would've thought it was simply the quick chat function in the game but...it had a ":/"

But, trying to type on my keyboard providing no results. Confused what just happened.

Anyone know what the deal is with that? Is there or isn't there text chat in this? I know obviously the pc version does, and I wasn't expecting console versions to have it, but after seeing that I'm confused.
